I really don't think they have one.

I think they were sold a pup that they either can't afford or don't want to have to deal with properly.

Now that it has all hit the fan they seem to be hiding and hoping that the problem will go away. I don't think they came into this as asset strippers, but I doubt they will have a problem resorting to that if it is the only way to get their money back after we go down.

God only knows what their end game is !!!!. I cannot think of one rational thing they have done in their time as owners.

The only thing i can think of is that they bought us as a bit of a play thing knowing if it all went well, they'd get great publicity for Venkys, and if it all went t1ts up then they could always asset strip us and make a nice tidy sum.

At the end of the day though, it is clear that they do not care one jot about the fans or the heritage of the club. They are a disgrace.

Change the business from football to chickens. Knock Ewood down, build a state of the art chicken processing factory. They will be advised that the only way the fans will accept this is if they keep the initials BRFC in the name of the factory.

Barry Bling will feel he has pulled off a genius idea when they call it the Balaji Rao Ficken Chactory.

Steve Kean will be chief plucker.

Roberts will do nothing all week then do a phone in show on Radio Lancashire about chicken rearing.

Hoilett, Samba, Olsson, Nzonzi will be sold to KFC.

The new factory will have a staff football team playing in claret and blue entered in the North West counties division 35, managed by my 95 year old gran - her remit will be to guide the club through the 97 leagues to the premiership and champions league football within 25 years. Her job will be safe until then, she will not be sacked or replaced no matter what happens. To help her do this she will have 50p to spend on players. She has already spoken to Pele, Bobby Charlton and Sylvester Stallone and they will be signing for Balaji Rao Ficken Chactory FC (BRFC FC aka the funky chickens) in time for next season.

You heard it here first lol

Our team has been a victim of under investment for years. When Venky's took over the club they inherited a club with an ageing and injury-prone squad.

Look at our team right now, 5 of our first teamers are Kean's, the others are players a lot of fans have wanted rid of for a while and are potentially past it. Pedersen, Roberts, Dunn, Salgado, Nelsen.

We have young players with raw talent, but without the necessary football brain to put that talent to good use.

In the Summer window, we needed something like 10 new players to be brought into the club (and we still need about 4), but such a massive reshuffle of the playing squad is simply not sustainable.

Venky's biggest mistake was to sack a pragmatic manager in Allardyce, and appoint a novice that simply can't handle the multitude of problems we have as a club. They need to provide more investment into the club, even though 5 of the players that have been bought (Vukcevic, Yakubu, Dann, Formica and Rochina) have been good acquisitions, it's still not enough and that's what's scary about this squad.

Quite simply, I think the issues at the club can't be resolved in 12 months. Venky's got a shock when they took over and realised how many problems there were at the club. We were hanging on by a thread under the Trust. We were fortunate to have managers like Hughes and Allardyce.

I don't think there's any end game here, simply a really difficult job that I wouldn't envy anyone and Venky's are dismally failing at it so far.

They can attempt to repair some damage by sacking Kean, appointing Hughes or similar, and signing 2 full backs a midfielder in January. It's probably not enough, but it will give us a chance to survive.

It doesn't help that the gap between the clubs challenging for Europe and the rest has widened so significantly.

+1 Brilliant! The best satire of the this whole farcical Rovers nightmare I've seen yet. It really is a case of 'you have to laugh or you'd cry' where Rovers are concerned right now.

I don't like the use of the American word "endgame" but asking why venky's bought BRFC is a very good question because at this point I cannot understand why they would buy a business and then destroy it or, probably more accurate, let it be destroyed by others without acting.

Why ?

There's a character in Joseph Heller's novel " Catch-22" who was in business before W W 2. He was head hunted by companies who wanted to make a loss in certain branches of large companies for tax purposes. He was nearly as successful as Kean. That's my theory. Either way they can't lose. The trust and Rothschilds ( who I understand were tasked with investigating potential buyers ) have a lot to answer for. In Rothschilds case they appear to have been negligent to me.

Personally I don't think they know.

At the moment I am a little more concerned about the immediate future - and what they do in the next transfer window. Do they gamble that we can do what no other club has done - escape the bottom at christmas curse - and spend some serious money in attempting to do so. Or do they accept our fate - and sell to prepare the squad for the realities of the Championship ?

Personally - I would gamble on six month loans for some genuine quality - and possibly a limited transfer budget. For example - why not get Tevez on loan till the end of the season - would cost an absolute packet - but he is the type of quality we need to get out of this mess. If we get relegated - longer term we aren't saddled with a permanent increase in our wage bill - but give ourselves the best possible chance. One thing that goes without saying - bring in a top quality manager to get the best out of a squad which is massively under performing as a result of tactical ineptitude.

Sorry Miker, I disagree, acquisitions are only good if they really make an impact, Yakubu apart, none of the others have, balance is the key and we havent got, as I have said for months) the correct balance in the squad, too many players who play a similar kind of game and really none of them with a tackle in them, this is poor management of the worst degree, its like making a cake and missing out many ingredients, it wont turn out correctly, however hard you try!

I agree with the sacking of Kean and bringing in a quality manager ..One of the reasons kean is such a poor manager is that his signings have been poor , and personally I do not think we are under performing ...I will agree a different manager would get more out of them but how mch more ?? not sure !

The only conclusion I’ve been able to come to is they’re thick, plain and simple. Its not very constructive I know, but they’ve been given daddies business and now they’re trying to spend a few quid and show off, but they’re thick as two short planks and have blown it :(

It's so obvious I can't understand why the management at the club can't see it.

My own theory on this; remember his quote of a few months ago? Something like ".....there's more value in the squad now....". I assume he meant re-sale value. The type of player that you allude to (creative, 'talented') tends to sell for more money; especially if they're a bit exotic looking and sounding. Which leads me to an answer to the original question regarding the end game. I don't believe that there is one. The whole thing is an ongoing 'experiment', we can all hazard a few guesses at who is pulling the strings. A vehicle for money making via attempting to develop players. Just my opinion of course but it seemed odd a year ago and seems even weirder a year on. All very sad.

It seems fairly obvious to me that much like Kean, Venkys have no plan B. They seem to have mis-judged the ownership game by a long way and are now not sure what to do next.

Under normal circumstances, I'd assumed they would be looking to offload the club - which makes me think that the Qatari bid was not a genuine offer, or certainly not serious money. The alternative scenario I would suggest is that pride came before logic and Venkys spurned the opportunity to sell. This would suggest that they are not serious business people which I guess would be consistent with a family group who have inherited their father's business.

So if we assume Venkys have no idea and have completely lost interest in their toy (evidenced by them sticking with the worst manager they could ever have) then the more pertinent question is:

"What is the end-game for Rovers?" or in other words " Where will Rovers be at the end of NEXT season?"

If venkys are asset strippers or not prepared to put anymore money in. Why did they not sell the club, when they had the chance to.do.

Thought I read on here that venkys have to give 10 mill to the bank within two weeks. Or club in trouble.

I hope that if that does not happen. The bank will seize the assets and club and sell it to somebody better.

Do not know if that can be done. But I hope the banks desire to have debts paid.or lowered will allow a sale of the club.to forced upon.venkys, by the bank.

Endgame is a chess phrase. It's not an American phrase, as far as I'm aware.

Very apt for the title in any event, regardless of it's origins.
