barry_ Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 approaching the game yesterday I was interested in seeing the degree which anit-kean/venkys support would happen. after a few minutes the anti kean feelings were evident(although it has to be said the volume of support was sadly lacking) a few times the 'stand up if you want kean out' sprung up with no reciprocal show of support from any other part of the ground?? It sickens me that, given out position?? not one fan could be seen standing? not one fan in the chitside/BBE?LW could be seen cheering/supporting the team/usa and then leaving us

Well that must mean you as well then. I heard specsavers are.doing good deals at the moment.
promoted2001 Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 All protests were called off in hope that it would improve our performance. Unfortunately it had an opposite effect.
Guest Rovers4Good Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Has Barry been on the sherry a little too early?
LeftWinger Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I'm guessing in part - Barry is referring to the non-existant support of the Blackburn End these days. There were several occasions when the Darwen End were singing 'Stand Up If You Hate Steve Kean' and the Blackburn End just sat there in silence as usual. I realise a lot of the supporters have had their spirit and heart ripped out of them by the chicken farmers - but the Blackburn End has been silent for a couple of years now. Never used to be that way.
Rover_Shaun Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I must be the only non-blind person in Ewood because sat on the halfway line in the riverside I saw both stands standing up if they hated kean. This is no time for a childish p*ssing contest
LeftWinger Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 This is no time for a childish p*ssing contest ..and it's no time to be sat in silence doing nothing either. The Blackburn End should be giving Kean/Venky's hell.
Rover_Shaun Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 The Blackburn End were NOT sat in silence. I suggest you grow up and vent your spleen towards the owners and the manager FFS
stuwilky Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Ahh magnificent, I havnt seen a Darwen End v Blackburn End discussion in ages. Beats the usual Kean Out stuff I suppose.
LeftWinger Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 The Blackburn End were NOT sat in silence. I suggest you grow up and vent your spleen towards the owners and the manager FFS The Blackburn End were sat in silence for 95% of the West Brom game. I took along a neutral who's been to lots of Rovers games in the past - and he commented that he couldn't believe how little noise there was coming from the Blackburn End.
Rover_Shaun Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 It all depends where you sit. Take it from A FAN (not a neutral) who was sat on the halfway line that noise came from both sides of the ground. So there is no need for a dick waving contest
Mattyblue Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 You want to know what this lat year has done to this football club? When Dann scored, swathes of people in front of me didn't even stand up.

So there is no need for a dick waving contest Lets consider the fact that there is between 3 and 4 times the number of people in the Blackburn End - than Rovers supporters in the Darwen End. The Blackburn End used to make a lot of noise. It's sad that the club has come to the point where it has. I'm not having a go at you here Blue and White Army.
onlyonejackwalker Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 You want to know what this lat year has done to this football club? When Dann scored, swathes of people in front of me didn't even stand up. Untold damage Matty, that has what has been done. I think people were caught out when we scored, totally against the run of play. I sit on the BBE and can confirm there were people stood up, people in yellow and black, people protesting against Kean, people joining in Kean out chants etc. However it was deathly silent for large parts of the game. The fans don't want Kean, but held back from protesting. It was a strange atmosphere and clearly people have no faith in the manager or his players and found it hard to get going behind the team especially with the shoddy stuff on view, including the lack of fight and effort. I thought the Darwen End were great as always and could be heard throughout the match were I was sitting.
roverwhelmed Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 You want to know what this lat year has done to this football club? When Dann scored, swathes of people in front of me didn't even stand up. I am amazed Rovers fans are still turning up after this hellish year. Desperately sad times.
Guest Rovers4Good Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Wholey smoke Batman why as it come to this? At the end of the day no-one wants the fans to be bickering between themselves and i must add that the harm Kean has done is absolutely nothing compared to what Venky's are doing to us. The BBE and the Darwen end both pour their heart and sole into the club and just because one end does more singing doesn't really matter does it? I've sat in all 4 ends this year and i must admit yes the heart is getting ripped out of the fans but i also see fans really wanting us to climb out of this mess that we are in and the only way to do that is to stop the childish bickering between ourselves and create a united front to make sure that firstly Kean gets sacked and second the owners know full well that they have to put some more time and effort into this club as at the moment they are making this a circus which it doesn't need to be. We all follow the Rovers and we all want the same thing so get behind the team like you always do and stop the petty swipes as it doesn't do any good,
