Unbelievable. Can't stand kean but lets forget the clown, noone can take away he has done fantastic getting the results in the last few games. I haven't felt this good about rovers for yonks. We aren't down yet. Lets make the players confident against stoke, 100% behind the boys, today has shown we aren't half bad and tactically kean was spot on

we caught united on an off day?? with the team we put out with players out of position and a massive injury list and massive inexperience, we have done well last 2 games but why the hell couldnt we do that against the lesser teams? Still no clean sheet, I know it was united but still a worry.

Hanley seems to be growning each game also henley, if we can bring in a right back next week, id push lowe in midfield and olsson on the wing, leave peds on the bench

Given the circumstances this was an amazing performance and victory.

Utd only got back in it thanks to a crabby goal and Pedersen's weekly awful giveaway. Great spirit, great performance by all the youngsters. Yak showed Jones for the unfinished article he is and Petrovic put in his best game by a mile.

Get the over-paid deadwood like Pedersen and Roberts out of the club, chuck the youngsters in and we still have a chance this season.

Cue the 10-0ers saying they take no pleasure from our 2nd win at OT in 45 years

Bloody great result and well played to all... even the manager although wtf he chose to bring on Goodwillie AND Slew to combat MU's final onslaught I struggle to comprehend and especially when the Yak was providing such a good outlet.

Weakest MU team in defence, midfield and up front that I can recall for years. Worst game that I have seen Jones play too but tbh he was rather isolated with that bunch of poofs around him. Magnificent feeling to shut the plastics up so comprehensively.... I bet most of em have spent a bloody fortune winging in from all over the globe. Magic!:lol:

Just like us since Jack Marshall was manager (and prob before) it appears Lpool and MU still drop performance levels against perceived weaker opposition. If Fergy and Kenny can't overcome the overconfidence malaise of professional players then no one can. I bet that little bgugger with the curly hair is getting it blow dried at the moment..... he chickened out of competing with Hanley big time for the third and Fergy will NOT have missed that!

As always we needed to score 3 to win. :(

Amazing win.

I'm sorry but I do have to give credit to the manager lets not forget what happened there last season. No chance that all is forgotten but he has to take a part of the credit today. The young lads and Yakubu were immense as well let's not forget it was Henleys drive forward that won the corner for the winner.

Morris was an odd and bad sub and we were suicidal at times but we got away with it today and it feels great.

Fantastic defensive performance, especially when you consider we are missing Dann, Givet, Olsson, Hoilett, Dunn and Nelsen. Hanley was excellent. As was Henley. We do seem to have a really exceptional set of young player. Morris looked effective when he came on also. Petrovic showed quality, Nzonzi had an excellent game. Bunn had little to do but pulled off a couple of cracking saves. And what can you say about Yakubu - phenomenal player. Right up there with McCarthy or Cruz in his effectiveness for us.

Only Rochina didn't really convince making so many poor choices with the ball, but he worked well defensively.

The organisation was first rate with the two banks of four and Nzozi sitting in between.

Lets kick on and try and get six points out of the next nine.

Rather contradicting yourself there given that our MoM scored two and is 30. Should we drop him from now on for Goodwillie or Blackman do you think EiT?

Rachel T on Twitter: "If Blackburn take points off the Champions today, then surely the dissenting fans should apologise to Steve Kean."

Not likely. He could have us at the top of the league table and I would still view him as a contemptible human being whom I would want nowhere near the Rovers.

i think having youngsters in helped. no fear

The kids need to play a lot more, they have so much heart and passion for the club that the old guard dont seem to have any more. Fantastic win!

Absolutely. They have heart and passion. Too many of the "experienced" professionals won't give 100% every match.

Everything aside, a win at Old Trafford (in any circumstance) against any Man Utd side is a great result.

GREAT WIN and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

And to you also, Rog. Happy New Year.

In regards to the defence, this should make the constant "we'd be better if we didn't have so many out" utter drivel. Either he will admit we beat a very under strength Manchester United or he will accept that our defence can stand up to arguably the biggest team in the country.

Minor miracle today. Not only with us getting the win at OT but also Kean talking some sense in the interview afterwards. He said it was a great win but would mean nothing without doing the same against Stoke at home on Monday.

Sorry if anyone replied to my earlier post but I missed it if you did. Is Rochina injured?
