Fantastic result and great credit to the players today - the fact so many are kids is very encouraging for the future.

It'll all mean nothing if we dont follow up with a result against Stoke though.

Fantastic performance and real guts shown by the youngsters.

4 points from Pool and Manure away makes the losses to WBA & Bolton at home even harder to stomach..we could have been out of the drop zone by now!

Having said that it should send us into the stoke game full of confidence.

Great result pleased for the lads still some scary defending too much backing off. I for one will not be too upset if Pedersen never pulls on a shirt for us again. Also again red does not clash with Blue or White, why the away strip.

Blimey! I did not see that coming.

Hanley, Henley and the Yak were excellent. The rest were superb too. Credit where it's due, and If you hadn't have known better you would have thought this was a Hughes performance today (minus Kean's subs which were baffling).

We HAVE to beat Stoke at home next. No draw, we need a win. And then you just never know.

Massive credit to the young lads they were tremendous.

Petrovic and Nzonzi also had very good games and Yak worked his socks off.

If only we could add a couple of decent players to the squad,ah well .

Best i have felt about the club in months.

I thought Petrovic was a rollercoaster today, at times he looked a good player, then he'd give the ball away and put us on the backfoot.

The pair of them (N'Zonzi) offered little protection for our back four, was frustrating to watch.

Incredible away results this week who would have given us 4 points out of 6 at Anfield and OT.... Makes you wonder whether the protests are having a negative affect on home performances?

1st away win in god knows how long so your theory doesn't really add up

Great performance today - best game in a blue and white shirt for Henley, Hanley and Petrovic. A well deserved win. Happy birthday Fergie

What a way to end 2011. Beating United at the OT! Havent done that since 2005 if im correct.

So proud of the WHOLE team today. Yakubu has to be the buy of the season. We had young Henley and Morris on the left side who did very good against Valencia and Rafael.

Hope this is a turning corner.

Onwards and upwards. Pop the Champagne!

Happy new year all fellow Rovers. Lets enjoy this win, because it is HUGE!

well done to the young lads. They were fantastic. More fight and passion in their little finger than most of the senior players have in their whole body. Just shows how important it is to have players in the team who actually care about the club.

btw, who is this grant hanley?! Looks a good player :)

Well I didn't see that one coming. Well done to everyone, an excellent performance.

Weaker than usual United line up, but that doesn't matter. They should still have had enough to beat us at OT. Apart from the obvious - Yakubu - the one thing that did impress me was the composure of the team. We didn't always have an outlet, but rather than just lump it forward as in previous games, we actually kept calm and were always confident enough to try to retain posession.

10/10
