We are getting killed as fans for not phoning in 606. Roberts talking on 606 saying he is not available because of his contract. More games equals a longer contract.

Tried to listen to 606 but it was all about the important issue of the day-------Suarez' suspension!

The first caller was a Manu supporter crying in his cups and the rest was Suarez, Suarez,Suarez till I switched off! The first caller on the subject went on forever.

No better sight than a teary-eyed Utd fan. XD Cheer up, son. You're only SECOND in the table.

LMAO @ Fergie blaming the 'heavy' pitch for the first half performance.

Did Grant Hanley really say our performances all season have been brilliant or was it the accent?

I thought he lost the ball every time he got it but it doen't matter today tbh

Morris looked up for it though. Reminded me of Olsson. Wasn't afraid to take them on and did shift the ball away from the danger area.

Does not look like a lost dressing room, now no more protests during the match and back the lads...IMO Ofcourse.

Keep flogging this dead horse Imy. Nobody has said Kean has lost the dressing room. There's been the odd post saying that some senior players have had it with Kean but almost everybody agrees that the team has been putting in 100%.

The Bolton game raised doubts, not surprisingly, because we didn't start till the second half.

How about you devoting all your time to supporting the team as opposed to criticising your fellow fans all the time?

Bit rich methinks..Imy seems to spend plenty of time supporting the team, not sure you can say the same.

Come on chaps, new year and all that, its ******* sad enough that we're even on here tonight, lets not fall out :tu:

It's a fair point Gav..I'm sure ultimately we all want the best for the Rovers although listening to some of the in-fighting on here we sometimes lose track of that unfortunately.

Anyhow, happy new year to everyone. Let's hope 2012's better than this year for BRFC...

I think if you look at the last four games on balance we'd all say that four points might be an okay return, but you'd have probably not expected to see them come from the Liverpool/Man U games....

I'm sure I saw a comment somewhere that younger players perform better against the "big" teams and that certainly seems to have been the case during the past couple of weeks.

Credit where it's due, if Kean is responsible then fair play to him, but I suspect a large proportion of the performance is down to the players grit and determination, an effective man-manager would be able to take this momentum forward, will Kean, time will tell....

Fergie moaning about the penalty is laughable really.

I'm under no illusions of our situation but if we can't enjoy today we may as well stop watching football IMO

Also credit to Hanley and petrovic today ive criticised both but they put a real shift in and looked like they belonged

Just a quicky for those having a go at MGP, don't forget that he's been playing at left back where he has never played before.

That is no excuse for not closing down, not tackling, making lazy passes and giving the ball back to the opposition and generally strolling around the park. All traits which he has become very adept at regardless of his position. He can't even seem to get a corner or free kick right a lot of the time. I'd just bench him for a bit, re-ignite a fire under his arse.

Rather contradicting yourself there given that our MoM scored two and is 30. Should we drop him from now on for Goodwillie or Blackman do you think EiT?

Bit harsh there Gordon, I know and I think you do too what he really meant. He made no reference to age.

Far too much optimism on here after what is after all a freak result.

Reminds me of the euphoria in Burnley after they beat Man U at Turf Moor two seasons ago.

And look what happened to them ........

Not an ounce of similarity really Jim, think about it, Dingles second game was it, at home still high on promotion to the prem euphoria. Us on the other hand at the bottom of the league, at OT. No no comparison to be drawn really.

A great result no matter what anyone's posture may be about the current condition at BRFC. I know that i am not near the Rovers fan that the large majority of members are on this site because, i live in the US and was never in England let alone Blackburn. So, i can't completely know how desperate it might feel about possible relegation at the end of the season. This is my 9th season following the EPL and 8th as a Rovers fan. I am not a lifelong supporter. When i decided to pick a team to support i looked in Lancashire and loved the blue and white halves.

Having said this though, i believe that we must stay/become positive and get behind the team. Especially all home matches. There's no doubt that the negativity in the stands can and will(at least eventually) rub off on the team so, the supporters could be contributors to our demise. By the same token the positivity can fuel the team. Forget who is managing or playing for the team. Cheer for the Rovers!!! Ultimately it is the crest we cheer for.

Three of our next four matches are at home. H-Stoke-2nd, H-Fulham-14th, A-Everton-21st, H-Newcastle-1/2/12. All good possibilities for collecting points. We should also be getting back a good many players including: Nelson, Givet, Robinson, Dunn, Hoilett, and maybe even Dann by months end.

C'MON ROVERS!!!

Well, as a Rover who was not one of the 12/1300 or so in the enclosed area but one of the others in the ground who was castigated and threatened by the red ###### when we cheered and supported our team, I am of the opinion that the only way to get through this time is to support our team. I believe that the kean out/venky's out chants have a totally negative effect on the team and that this is not support and has no effect upon the owners so is counterprodctive. I think that all supporters should get behind the team. Protest in other ways, emails etc to the owners but do not ever think that shouting at the ground during matches is of any benefit to our club.

I am and always will be 100% rovers.

Nice result.. but I can't feel overly happy about it, even thought it was essential to our survival.. :( Sad I know but means Kean is going to be there for the transfer window without a shadow of a doubt.

He has the nack of pulling off results when his head is on the block or when they are essential for him (i.e. when HE wanted to be made perm manager), which is useful but he can't seem to motivate anyone for regular games, we have always had a nack for upsetting the big boys but we also have had a decent time of it against regular sides.

A large part of me really believed a loss against ManU would of been it for Kean, just had a gut feeling that it would of been the end of him, instead the win gives him the transfer window and signing the likes of Johnson isnt the solution to our issues.

As for loosing the dressing room, I don't think anyone here believe he had lost HIS players.. the likes of Yak, Rochina and Formica.. but many believe he has lost the support of the likes of Robbo, Salgado, Samba, Givet, Olsson, Jnr and even the likes of Nelsen and Dunn.

As for the protests having a negative effect on the team.. thats rubbish the protests at the Arsenal game had the opposite effect and the only reason that we have protests is because the team was playing rubbish in the first place even without injuries/protests etc etc.

Had him on ignore but you've quoted him so I'll respond.

I am not/have not criticised my fellow fans, I have praised the protestors and am firmly in the Kean out/Venkys out camp, however the protests need to stop-and they have IMO.

Happy new year to you and your family 47er and to my fellow MB members.
