I thought Petrovic had a far better game for us yesterday. He still looks a bit slow getting round the pitch, but he looked comfortable in possession, used the ball well and put in some good tackles. The young lad Henley had a very good game too and looks like a good prospect.

Some muppet united fan I know was chopsing at me on Facebook saying he was a proper fan as he wouldn't turn on the team or the manager. Had to remind him that I'm pretty sure even fergie would have been out on his ear if he'd won 7 games in a year!!

It's easy to support a team who are winning things every year.

Well done the Blues!

"Happy Birthday Dear Fergie" has been sung sarcastically throughout New Year's Eve-to party poop like that is what makes football what it is!

Let's celebrate the moment briefly until tomorrow. Stoke will not let us play as freely in midfield as Unitied who like to draw you in and then hit at speed down wings-. No, Stoke will require more pace and aggression to any ball played into midfield.

Come on--lets have at least a 7 point Christmas.

Absolutely, you only have to go on their forums to see what a bunch of spoilt crybabies the majority of them are. About time they had a few barren years to remind them they're not entitled to win everything.

Not much of a choice if it's either/or.

It's like being asked whether you want to be executed by firing squad or electric chair!

I'd probably just about stick with Pedersen and only because he can run a bit more than Dunn.

Right decision but for the wrong reason. Dunn cannot do 90 mins anymore so as soon as Dunn is in the starting X1 you have used a substitute up before the match starts and options become less. In effect we are limited to 2 subs when everybody else has 3 and at some point over a season that will cost points.

To any right thinking manager David Dunn can only be a bench man these days.

Yak is 29 mate, get your faccts right.

faccts? :P

29/30? Who carees it doesn't alter the context does it?

Have United ever lost at home to the bottom team in the Premiership?? I doubt it.

Dunno if WHU were actually bottom but they won ot OT with a Tevez goal 0-1 on the last day of the season when MU were already Champions. A result which kept WHU up at the expense of Sheff utd.

And I bet he owns a green and yellow scarf! Oh the irony.

Well I think the word for today is ‘stunned’ even with a very good side from 92/96 we couldn’t get anything from old stratford.

That was down to Dodgy Durkin and his imaginary 'push' by Shearer in the back of Roy Kean as Sherwood scored that no one at OT saw and which no MU players even claimed for. On the last day of the season when we were awarded the Prem trophy his face must have resembled a bulldog licking p1ss off a nettle.

Far too much optimism on here after what is after all a freak result.

Reminds me of the euphoria in Burnley after they beat Man U at Turf Moor two seasons ago.

And look what happened to them ........

I've a feeling that result will have Pullis rubbing his hands.

Bit rich methinks..Imy seems to spend plenty of time supporting the team, not sure you can say the same.

Commendable though his dedication mey be there are two points which may be relevent.

1. imy spends plenty of time supporting the team on here.

2. I seem to rem imy confessing that he's never been to Ewood Park.

I think any support from imy will not be felt by the players.

I have not been to Ewood but do make a number of away trips throughout the season.

Your support is obviously missing for every game due to you withdrawing your support for the team so the team is missing that for the entire season.

What did you make of young Duncan's performance yesterday at Centre half, obviously not playing in his strongest position of RB but still lol.

Where do you live? Just a fair question as I live in Bangkok and get to 2 or 3 homes games a season.

I'm not knocking you but would like to know

Great performance yesterday, what a fantastic end to a pretty bad rovers year.

Did anybody win any serious cash yesterday? There were some very big prices around, yak first scorer 18-1, rovers to win 20-1?

I had yak first scorer final score 2-2 @ 400-1 .... was very close but will take the three points all day :D

A quick tally up and the average age of the players who finished yesterdays game was 22.36 years old.

I'm willing to be proven wrong since it was a hurried calculation, but even if I am it was certainly a young team.

Durkin's decision that season was an absolute disgrace, I was fairly young back then but can remember being totally confused over why the goal had been disallowed. My uncle was absolutely livid.

Can't really compare the Utd team of those seasons to this season though, Utd's team from the mid-90's would tear their current squad a new one, especially the team they had out yesterday
