I gave my opinion about the protests, I feel they need to stop during games,

Why? On what grounds imy? I can assure you that there is no way can you judge the atmosphere from an armchair.

Unless you are there you can have no idea of the effect of the supporters protests. I've been on the first protest and was in corporate for the second v Spurs when the protestors were asked by the club to refrain from protesting during the game. They did so admirably and gathered for a protest sit in after the final whistle when the club then disgustingly chose to reward their honour by drowning them out by playing music through the PA at full belt.

Best thing you can do is keep a lid on your opinions.

You would have slotted in well during Stalin's era.

Al might indeed have slotted in well under Uncle Joe's rule imy. However I've a feeling that you'd have been shot. ^_^

Anybody remember the time we played them at Old Trafford and were playing some great stuff, leading 1-0 ( Gallagher the elder I think )? Pretty sure it was in the second half, Jason Wilcox got away in their box and Paul Parker chopped him in half ! Clearest penalty I'd seen all season and nothing happened ! Should have been 2-0 up and playing against 10 men. The rats went on to win 3-1.

That was last game of the season and the Old Trafford celebration evening as theyn had actually won the Prem the away match before. All very nice for the mancs, problem is that decision not to award a stone wall penalty actually cost us a place in Europe the season after. The gushing press and media never mentioned that at all after the match, all they were interested in doing was bulling up and brown nosing the red scum for all they were worth.

Twas ever thus to the eternal shame of real football in this country.

A good impersonation of Stalin there Drog, but then again I expect nothing less.

You obviously have issues with reading so I'll repeat myself clearly for you. I was in support of the protests, what Glen and co did was exceptional, when they stopped organised protests it was the right thing, to protest during the game at this stage IMO is not the right thing to do for a number of reasons.

1. It makes NO difference whatsoever to the owners.

2. Resulting in Kean still having a job.

3. It effects the team, especially an inexperienced team.

We could have a poll and I would guess that a majority would agree with what I have said. That being said when the performance was as bad vs Bolton the protest will happen naturally. Also reiterating again I am not telling people what to do.

Good idea.

Let's have a poll on the irrelevant thoughts of a clueless know-nothing apologist for Kean and Venky's who has never been to Ewood Park.

Next.

Whilst I agree the time for organised protests is over, I'm not sure this point has ever been proven to be true. Other than certain players claiming that to be the case, the evidence results-wise suggests the opposite. Protesting against Kean could be argued to take the pressure off the players as they don't feel like they're being blamed for what's happening on the pitch AND if they are truly behind Kean it gives them an incentive to prove the fans wrong and validate the manager.

All of our wins, barring Utd, were on days of protest. Our "truce" with Kean at WBA saw a terrible performance, today a truce called and we lost again. Last season there were no protests and we nearly got relegated. I don't think there's any reason to believe the protests really have any effect one way or the other on the team. The only part of the equation that unquestionably effects the team is... the manager.

The most protesting occurred during the Swansea match and it affected the team enough to score 4! Maybe we should be ramping the protests up? Too much is made of all this 'everybody get behind the team' crap. Which works best do you think.... a velvet glove or a boot up the arse?

The last word sums up what I think of every time you post, you do however have a certain 'Comical Ali' value about you so continue, I wonder who you will fall in love with next.

As I said previously Jim old boy Kean lost my support after Fulham last season ( try to remember that far back pet), so not much of an apologist really?

Now can you contribute something to the mix or you going to use any more of those amazing jokes lol.

Let me know when you've visited Ewood - then you might have some sort of credibility.

In the meantime your musings are worthless.

I knew you would go for the contributing something to the debate as normal ha ha!

I don't think you can tell people not to protest during the games.

Yes, protests are not hurting Venky's enough to bin Kean. But, as much as Kean is the immovable object, so his incompetence is the irresistable force. Wouldn't you be getting rather hacked off to be going to Ewood once a fortnight to be watching the fruits of gross incompetence and dereliction of duty? My blood would be boiling.
