Dwight Yorkes left foot strike from 6 yards out in the 57 min gave Rovers a well deserved win at Ewood Park this afternoon to move them up to eight in the Premier League. This represents a total of 8 points from a possible 12 over the Christmas period. Today saw Souness  play two of the academy developed  players, McEverley and Danns ahead of established  first team players.  McEverley getting special praise from Souness in the post match interview, as did Andy Cole who won the Man of the Match Award.
