Backroom Tom Posted December 26, 2011 Backroom Posted December 26, 2011 Spark a race for his signature? Ok then. No tears shed here he's a passenger in 90% of games
blue_n_white99 Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 If "reality check" Dunn gets a new contract at Ewood, it is down to kissing SK's hole, because he is well past his sell by date. Too slow, injured far to much, ineffective and but for Yakabu would be the fattest player on the park.
Hughesy Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Dunn, Roberts, Nelsen, Grella all need to go...regardless of the division. Yes they still have ability in the odd game, but Injuries/ lack of pace really effects them now.
neophox Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 You forgot Salgado and Andrews, Hughesy, 6 players off the payroll. And they are slow.....
roverandout Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 dont let the door hit your fat backside on the way out pie-boy!!!
emerton Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Dunn would be very handy in the championship - as it looks like we are heading that way i think hes worth holding onto
Hughesy Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 You forgot Salgado and Andrews, Hughesy, 6 players off the payroll. And they are slow..... Spot on....All 6 - Regardless of the division we are in, id let go
Rovers_Dan Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 he had a great game against liverpool but has been pretty crap for most of the season. if we can get a decent midfielder in and have him on the bench, i suppose that would be ok as backup.
roversfan1 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 No great loss, free up the wages for a player than can actually run and put a shift in for a full 90 minutes!
Amo Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Dunn would be very handy in the championship - as it looks like we are heading that way i think hes worth holding onto Doubt it. The Championship is a highly competitive league with games coming thick & fast. Dunn can barely plod around the pitch for an hour.
John Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Dunn is pretty pally with Kean, would be surprised if Kean doesn't make a big push to try and offer him a new deal.
matduggy Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Dunn is pretty pally with Kean, would be surprised if Kean doesn't make a big push to try and offer him a new deal. Does anyone else think that this story is being pushed by Dunny's agent to secure him another season with Kean?
AHoyle90 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Lets face it, he would be a good player to have in the Championship!
pokeheruptheace Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Dunnys going to Chorley to be with his mates Flitty and Janny. He spends a lot of time at victory park.
Amo Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Lets face it, he would be a good player to have in the Championship! No, he wouldn't. I've already dispelled that myth.
Backroom DE. Posted December 28, 2011 Backroom Posted December 28, 2011 I agree with Topman, can't see Dunn being useful in the Championship at all. The physical style of play would see him injured for 80% of the season.
emerton Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 The way I see it is that in the championship – providing we don’t have a mass exodus of all our talented players, a luxury player like Dunny would help us open up defences and give us an edge due to his ability to pick a pass. A stable supportive DM would do the majority of the tracking back in midfield and closing down. I can’t see us going to places like Doncaster & playing 1 up front I'd imagine that we would be a top half championship club next season - nothing to fear playing away....
Hughesy Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Dunn is pretty pally with Kean, would be surprised if Kean doesn't make a big push to try and offer him a new deal. He hates him!

I don't think the championship would be quite the walk in the park alluded to here. Agree with others that it's a very physical league and whilst dunn may be useful on occasion I think he would be spending most of his time in the treatment room.
Pedro Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Must be worth a cheeky £5 bet to become player manager with this lot in charge
