magicalmortensleftpeg Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Id rather play Roberts over Carlton Cole. Neither are premiership football players. AJ wouldnt be a bad understudy to Yakubu and I dont think we could realistically expect to get anyone better. Ive been a big fan of Kranjcar for years and would love to see him here. I'd willingly trade him for Hoilett.

Taggart Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 don`t understand why people are mentionibng Corluka and Kranckjar - there is no chance either of them would digress to playing for Rovers, let alone their wages. They are quality players who would command starting places in pretty decent teams across England and Europe. I would be as surprised as Bellamy signing if we got one fo those two, but it isn`t gonna happen
Makey11 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 thanks Makey and completely understand, sources and all cheers glad you understand pal, much apprecieted.
John Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Rewind back to last January "Chris Samba should be signing his new contract within a matter of hours and yes that will draw a line under things that have happened since the takeover. Equally, when you have got your club captain in Ryan Nelsen and someone like Michel Salgado, who had a number of offers from elsewhere, signing new contracts as well as Chris, who is our team captain, it just shows they all think you are going in the right direction.”

Samba hasn't as yet said he wants to go this time Salgado has gone 6 months too far and been found out - fair play Nelsen is still injured
Darwen Rover Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 If I was playing for rovers and listening to this shower of... Then I too would want out...
Backroom DE. Posted January 6, 2012 Backroom Posted January 6, 2012 'No bids have come in but we haven't spoken to him about extending his contract," the Scot added. That's odd because I thought we'd been in talks with Junior for months?!?!? Did he actually say that? If so, why did nobody question him further?
Stuart Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Fast forward 12 months. Samba hasn't as yet said he wants to go this time Salgado has gone 6 months too far and been found out - fair play Nelsen is still injured Samba has been stamping his feet for the last 3 transfer windows (at least) - and hasn't gone. This time he is extremely quiet... Did he actually say that? If so, why did nobody question him further? Someone heard it...
savage90 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 4 million would be reasonable, but I imagine Spurs wanting 5 or 6?

Elvis McSmithy Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Yet Another Peculiar, Bold, naive patronising statement on rovers official site stating Samba is not for sale( http://www.rovers.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10303~2568810,00.html ), should have said "not for sale at million". Who are they trying to kid and Why?

Who are they trying to kid and Why? ffs, what is that? it isn't football manager where you "issue a hands off warning". Our PR team, if indeed we have one, are such an embarrassment.

Our PR team, if indeed we have one, are such an embarrassment. That made me laugh - you pretty much summed it up. Interesting if Barry White is secretly playing as Rovers on FM with the current squad and they are a top ten team - would help explain some of the madness going on !
John Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Fast forward 12 months. Samba hasn't as yet said he wants to go this time Salgado has gone 6 months too far and been found out - fair play Nelsen is still injured Yeah totally, we are going in the right direction, exciting times indeed.
allanncd Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Apparently Yakubu can leave for £1.5m if (ie when) Rovers are relegated. Just gets worse............
Pete1981 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Blackburn Rovers boss: We'll wait on Junior Hoilett
AJW Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Blackburn Rovers boss: We'll wait on Junior Hoilett scenario 1) its bullshit... just want clubs to put bids in and accept the highest scenario 2) they've already accepted relegation and a "who gives a ######" mentality now reigns
Elvis McSmithy Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Blackburn Rovers boss: We'll wait on Junior Hoilett Steve Kean is practically blaming the previous manager and owners over the Hoilet situation because he was only given a 2 year contract by them!, seriously can these cretins not sink any lower, Kean and the owners have had over 12 months to try and convince him to sign up to a new contract, But from Hoilets point of view what has happened in the last 12 months that would give him any reason to want to stay if a bigger team wants him(or just any team not run and managed by clowns).
LDRover Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Can't believe there's 12 pages of this crap already and there's still discussion of who's coming in!!! Give it a rest guys and talk about who's leaving and who won't come in to replace them.

savage90 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Jermaine Jones gets suspended for stamping on injured opponent
savage90 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Jermaine Jones gets banned for 8 weeks after stamping on injured opponent A ban equal to Suarez. Fan Comment: ''Schalke's rise up the table has been parallel to Jones starting.'' Also sounds like he's been doing very well back in Germany.
