Id rather play Roberts over Carlton Cole. Neither are premiership football players. AJ wouldnt be a bad understudy to Yakubu and I dont think we could realistically expect to get anyone better. Ive been a big fan of Kranjcar for years and would love to see him here. I'd willingly trade him for Hoilett.

don`t understand why people are mentionibng Corluka and Kranckjar - there is no chance either of them would digress to playing for Rovers, let alone their wages. They are quality players who would command starting places in pretty decent teams across England and Europe. I would be as surprised as Bellamy signing if we got one fo those two, but it isn`t gonna happen

"Chris Samba should be signing his new contract within a matter of hours and yes that will draw a line under things that have happened since the takeover. Equally, when you have got your club captain in Ryan Nelsen and someone like Michel Salgado, who had a number of offers from elsewhere, signing new contracts as well as Chris, who is our team captain, it just shows they all think you are going in the right direction.”

Fast forward 12 months.

Samba hasn't as yet said he wants to go this time

Salgado has gone 6 months too far and been found out - fair play

Nelsen is still injured

That's odd because I thought we'd been in talks with Junior for months?!?!? :wacko:

Samba has been stamping his feet for the last 3 transfer windows (at least) - and hasn't gone.

This time he is extremely quiet...

Yet Another Peculiar, Bold, naive patronising statement on rovers official site stating Samba is not for sale( http://www.rovers.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10303~2568810,00.html ), should have said "not for sale at million".

Who are they trying to kid and Why?

That made me laugh - you pretty much summed it up. Interesting if Barry White is secretly playing as Rovers on FM with the current squad and they are a top ten team - would help explain some of the madness going on !

Steve Kean is practically blaming the previous manager and owners over the Hoilet situation because he was only given a 2 year contract by them!, seriously can these cretins not sink any lower, Kean and the owners have had over 12 months to try and convince him to sign up to a new contract, But from Hoilets point of view what has happened in the last 12 months that would give him any reason to want to stay if a bigger team wants him(or just any team not run and managed by clowns).
