Mercer Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 lfc in talks with hoilett !! IMV, Hoilett & L'pool has been on the cards for at least the last 8 months. I think they will get him for no more than £4.5m.
roverandout Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 i think his source is from someone on facebook who said it
jimw1988 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 SamikLFC Samik Banerjee Apparently #LFC over in talks with Bolton regarding Hoilett..Pacey, Good Dribbler & Passing is Quality too + available cheap LFCInsiderPT PT To clarify about Hoilett, #LFC definitely interested after 5m was rejected in summer but won't have bidding war with Spurs. LFCInsiderPT #LFC Bid for Junior Hoilett is 4 million - we usually start low anyway, no way we'll get him for that. Negotiations ongoing.
LeChuck Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Hoilett to Liverpool? He'd be better to push for a move to Spurs, much more chance of a game there. With Downing, Kuyt, Bellamy and Rodriguez all playing similar positions (plus Suarez if Carroll starts), I can't see him playing much. At Spurs he would only have Bale and Lennon as competition, and Lennon gets injured a fair bit.

jimw1988 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Bolton? just confirms how little people know about the smaller teams!
magicalmortensleftpeg Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Dont think Hoilett would make much of an impression at Liverpool. He's a good player but he's still got a long way to go. Phil Jones was more of a finished article when he left. Hoilett still struggles to track back and too often tries to beat every man in front of him. I wouldnt hold it against him if he left but warming the bench at a bigger club probably wont do him many favours over the long term. And why are people bothered about the Yak's release clause? Most people criticised Kean for signing the guy in the first place, and I doubt anyone thought he'd score 12 goals by New Years. If/When we get relegated, trying to hold onto the Yak wont be our biggest problem.
hesfromburn Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Clearly attention seeking twitterer!!!! Cant even get the team the player plays for right
Pitty Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Jermaine Jones gets banned for 8 weeks after stamping on injured opponent A ban equal to Suarez. Fan Comment: ''Schalke's rise up the table has been parallel to Jones starting.'' Also sounds like he's been doing very well back in Germany. That blows any small chance of him coming now then.
roverandout Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 we never had a chance of getting jones back as for hoillet, they think they can get him for £4 million? they will have to pay more than that in the summer when the fee goes down to a tribunal!!
Backroom DE. Posted January 7, 2012 Backroom Posted January 7, 2012 Hmm, can't think of any reason for Hoilett not to go to Liverpool...
AJW Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 hoillet and samba missing from todays squad? coincidence?
adsfortheblues Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Is it not possible the person in question meant there was a meeting in Bolton not that he played for Bolton? More than possible as bburn is an absolute shithole, Bolton not much better but it's better than bburn and has a lot more meeting venues. Also yes samba didn't play so what he's our best player so he will be rested simple, jesus some people must have anxiety problems on this board slightest bit of difference and people are confused
Elvis McSmithy Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 hoillet and samba missing from todays squad? coincidence? Well if Steven Kean says they where missing for fitnes or tactical reasons i believe him, What reason/s is there not to believe him(other than his mouth was moving).
Ricky Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I wouldn't have played either of them today. I would have also given olsson another week off. They'll be vital in the next game.

Stockport rover Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Just asked nicko on twitter if we were close to getting anyone and he recons there might be a replacment for hoilett in the pipeline, which is for a small fee dependent on hoilett going.
adsfortheblues Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 i guess you believe salgado and roberts are injured as well No that is fact that thy are not injured Roberts has said so himself so that is the proof. However everything else is either scaremongering or mischievous
BRFC1995 Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 8th of Jan, quarter of the window gone.......loving this getting our business done early attitude. OR will it be the 31st at 11:59 that we make our first panic signing of dele adebola. I think the latter.

OR will it be the 31st at 11:59 that we make our first panic signing of dele adebola. I think the latter. If Venky's had put their money where their mouth is we would have signed a couple of players already. We're basing our entire window on selling Hoilett, which might not happen. It's bonkers.
The Rover of Finland Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I think nothing happening is best for the club right now. We wouldn´t get better players to replace anyone. Before those ###### sell the club there won´t be better days for us.
hesfromburn Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Cant believe venkys wont put any money in. all we need is a full back and a midfielder (experienced) the rest of what we need is just back up and depth (which we had in emerton and diouf) Having to get rid of hoilett to supposedly fund 2 buys and 2 loans is ridiculous its not going to solve a porblem, we will still be losing with kean while moaning at out lack of pace in attack. just get rid of roberts, andrews, grella, pedersen, formica (if he wants to go), I think we could fool someone into paying a fair price for pedersen, I still have other fans thinking pedersen is our best player or a threat...!
