As a Rovers fan based in Southampton (him having been on loan down here), this is a player who would entertain fans. He likes to run at his fullback a lot. I think i even said that we should have been in for him when Wolves bought him. However, i'm not sure he is a great option in a relegation dogfight. Perhaps why McCarthy is happy to laon him out. Will be a decent player in the fullness of time though.

Think Kean is referring to the Championship when he says we need players who will hit the ground running.

How can you get excited with names such as Johnson, Orr, Hammill, Modeste & Caceres.

I think we are going to have to get used to it though !!!

Hamills actually a decent player. Saw him

At Barnsley and he was class. Not sure why wolves would loan him to relegation rivals tho

With the greatest of respect and optimism, a club like Wolves just don't loan out decent players, especially to relegation rivals !

Heard speculation that Rovers have relatively a very small wage budget for loan players this window. Orr, Hammill, Modeste & Caceres certainly would fit the criteria. £20 to £25k per week should cover the lot with a bob or two of change left over.

I've warmed to you Mercerman. The drunken posts are my favourite! You're right in terms of Wolves stance in loaning him out. However, Hammil does have the raw materials to be a very good winger. If i was pushed, i'd say he would be a replacement for Hoillet. Not a like for like, but certainly one who'd attack his fullback rather than the typical wide man with crossing ability rather than old fashioned winger attributes.

I've seen hammill play a few times this season and to be honest I actually the he's a decent player. I would definitely have him at rovers from what I've seen.

The only problem is I can't quite get my head around why wolves would sell. It's uncomfortable that they would be happy to loan him to us considering the situation both clubs are in.

Hammill might be decent but let's spell this out... we've now been reduced to loaning players from our relegation rivals

In fairness, it does say "loan with a view to buy". I guess that's to cover ourselves in case we go down. It's probably more like a permanent transfer but with a get-out clause if we go down (or he turns out to be dogger).

From Wolves' point of view (in terms of loaning to a relegation rival), if the loan fee + wages saved allows them to bring in a player elsewhere then they might feel they'll be stronger for it, in which case it would make sense.

He seems quite an exciting player, and more of an orthodox winger (which we seem to lack at the moment).

VENKY’S’ top Brazilian source will arrive at Ewood Park today in an attempt to help Blackburn Rovers land their January transfer targets.

He played a big role in Rovers’ shock bid to land Ronaldinho last year and is also understood to have been involved in the signing of Brazilian full back Bruno Ribeiro in the summer

I'm positively salivating at the potential of more great signings such as Bruno.

From the LT: "Souza, manager of Venky’s do Brasil Ltda"

Venky’s do Brasil Ltda

"Venky’s do Brasil Ltda. is a subsidiary of Uttara Foods & Feeds India. We are developing the Brazilian project as one initial stage of Venky’s operations in the South American territory. Our goal is to establish the same trust and brand credibility we have with Indian farmers along with Brazilian farmers as well, by providing them our Animal Health Products, Vaccines and the best field service possible.

Our operations also include the development of the Venky’s do Brasil product line which consists of expanding the venky’s brand and quality into finished food products as well as the sales of commodities for exporting to our worldwide network, specially African and Asian territories. Venky’s do Brasil is also willing to look at more alternatives in the Brazilian territory itself, such as the promising domestic fast growing consumer’s good market, such as the Human Nutrition products we offer."

He looks just the man we need, well done Venky's on getting him in.

Nobody protest. We're in really good hands. Honestly, you couldn't write this script.

Frightening John.

What happened to the idea that the manager told the club who he wanted?
