Does whoever that is have any track record of breaking other transfer news? Can't find them on Twitter.

No idea tbh, just whizzed past on the software I use at work (which also has a BRFC section)

Probably shouldn't pay that much attention to it should I?

This is the level to which I've sunk - living off bullshit scraps from Twitter

Irrespective if he's turned a corner (haha) or not, Kean and the Venkys have got me really disliking the club at the minute

Modeste has joined Rovers on a 6 month deal. On offical Bordeaux site.

http://www.girondins.com/pr%C3%AAt-%E2%80%93-anthony-modeste-%C3%A0-blackburn-rovers.html

So from that I gather we don't have a purchase option in the summer. Shame we don't have someone better negotiating contracts. Jermaine Jones would have seen us comfortably in 13th or 14th in my opinion, not that Venkys would have paid the amount asked anyway. His record isn't the best, but i'm always ready to give the lad a chance.

Just seen this....

@TransferNews118 Breaking News : Its my understanding that samba and hoilett to #THFC....fees been agreed.in return defoe loan to #BRFC as part of deal.

Sincerely hope that's not true....

Spurs have agreed 2 fees so soon?? Absolute tosh! They are the worst for dragging things out!

Another missed opportunity:

tonys61Tony Shorrock

QPR agree £3 mill fee with City for Onuoha... SSN.

Could have shipped Samba or Dann out.

Hughes knows a player.

And as though Defoe would come here on loan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Onouha isn't better than Samba or Dann.

If Onouha is the only signing Hughes will get QPR will have problems....

Modeste is in the Florent Malouda type of player....Im a bit excited but in the same time a bit worried he has not played for two months.

But he has trained and been fit. Maybe he's pulled out with the manager.

I rate Onouha more than i rate Dann plus he's less injury prone and an cover the back four and midfield at a push. Fair enough on Samba but few can match Samba in the league when he's on form.

Think Sparky has done some shrewd business there.

As for Modeste, i hope he turns out decent but i just can't help be wary. Time will tell i suppose...

QPR have agreed a fee of between £2.5m and £2.75m to sign defender Nedum Onuoha and Barcelona's Soriano is to move to Salzburg for €0.8m, for them kind of prices we should be all over them not wasting time on has beens andy johnson

I would suspect Soriano will be receiving a huge salary as he was going to sign for Benfica but chose to sign for Slazburg instead.

Your forgetting a 5 year contract of 'rumoured' £80k a week, so just a £23m+ layout for an average, young full back.

Sorry but to compete with that would be reckless.

"There had been reports of a £3million fee and wages of up to £80,000 per week, but it is understood that Onuoha would earn significantly less than reported."

Sparky isn't stupid, he wouldn't spend that much money on someone unless they would transform his team.

Really? Didnt he spend some big cash at City and not really get results out of players? Just how well did £18M RSC do for City again?

Significantly less could mean £50-60k.....even at that figure, that is too much for a RB who hasnt played much the past few years and wouldnt be our main player should we sign him.

You can't compare the money city are willing to spend to anyone else really.

Hughesy, Mark Hughes signed Tevez and im pretty sure Kompany? Two players that have done quite well for Man City. So dont just knit pick on a player that didnt do great to try prove a point and like the person above this post said, City value money differently, £17.5 mil to them is like us signing Tim Payne.

Also as for us getting Defoe on loan as part of any Samba/Junior deals at first I laughed at it but then realised its Euros this year and at the moment Capello hasnt seen a lot of Defoe but he has of Wellbeck, Sturridge, Bent, Rooney etc

So Defoe would NEVER sign for us, but come here for 6 months just to show Capello what he is capable of, maybe?

The only thing that makes this deal a bit more unrealistic now is that we have signed modeste and we tend to only play one up front.

I agree ... £80k is ridicilous.

Also seen Wellbeck arguing with the directors at United .. Demanding £60k +

About time something happens with the wages.

my brother is very close to nedum. according to him, nedum wasnt too keen on moving to london, (had big offers from bolton ) but the qpr salary was too good to turn down.

on wages in general, i'd love for a salary cap to be introduced, but cant ever see it happening :(
