he is out of the team because kean feels he's too attacking

You've just made that up!

It's more likely that he's out of the team because he loses the ball an awful lot. Hoilett is no less attacking than Rochina, but he generally makes good decisions about when to dribble and when to pass. Rochina has a lot to learn before he's a first team regular.

Changed for you. Junior has a way to go before you could describe his on pitch decisions as "good".

I think we've missed the boat on that one.

He was MOM two games ago, and scored a screamer in last game (albeit losing 5-2).

He will be back on the bench once Tiote returns from ACN though. Doesnt't matter how well he plays or the screamers he scores. he might want 1st team footy even more now after the last few games?

Possibly. I was thinking more from Pardaw's point of view though, I doubt he'll want to let him go after these performances. Even with Tiote and Cabeye, they still need cover. Guthrie has probably pushed himself to third choice with his recent performances. I can't see Newcastle agreeing to let him go whilst they have a chance of finishing in European places.

Maynard in talks with Wigan. Kammy mentions in the podcast that Kean is a big fan of his and wanted to sign him but Venkys won't release any funds so looks like we will miss out.

As for Ambrose AJW, i thought someone would have taken him off palace by now, i suppose he hasn't played a tthe top level for a while now. Could he still cut it? He's only 27 as well, seems to have been around for ages.

I see him as a poor mans clint dempsey (nothing wrong with that) he scores loads of goals from midfield although that is in the Championship, im very pleasently surprised that hes only 27.

Id be happy with him for 2 million or less.

We can't afford to match Wigan? It's no wonder we are stuck with Kean. No proper manager would put up with this!

What REALLY upsets me transfer wise is that we still havent broken the clubs transfer record which was who Andy Cole about 10 years ago??

I genuinely thought Venkys were going to spend that kind of money on squad players and have at least 3 or 4 10 million pound + signings in the first team with a couple of 15 - 20 millioners in there too.

Now I feel so stupid and come in to every transfer window dreading which one of our best players will be sold to balance the books next. This summer I said id rather see Samba go than Phil Jones as Jones was younger, a Rovers fan and a lot more potential. We lost Jones and now looks like Samba is going too. I really do worry about us "doing a Pompey" (but without even signing big name players and tasting success first!!!!)

FALLING LIKE A ROCK.

Hopefully in a weeks time we should have a clearer view of whats happening. Be much easier if venkys were just open and honest with us - but that aint happening any time soon.

Im still thinking it would be nice to know what the plans were for the club... :angry2:

Its getting boring playing wait and see with venkys all the time for the last year to find out what they are doing, but to be fair how are they supposed to explain a plan to us when they dont have any.

Seems to me they spent far more money than they had planned (for reasons I think we all know) and wanted to.

Then now in a panic have simply stopped putting in any extra time and money and now have their fingers in their ears and denying our existance while the clubs left to rot.

My worry is if they are not selling and we manage to survive just what the hell are they trying to do? Without investment hoilett and samba at the very least will be gone. And transfer windows for incomings under venkys are going to be utterly pointless and transer discussions on rovers will become redundant.

Perhaps Olympiakos are offering us a good future fee IF they make it permanent? And thats what is swaying us?

To be honest Formica is a hard working/ decent player - however as others have said he's not really made for a relegation battle and we have many other similar players i.e. Hoilett & Rochina. (Both who are better than Formica)

IF, and only IF, we get to bring a defensive/ aggressive midfielder with quality in, then I can see why the club would do it!

'Hughesyland' " Hoilett & Rochina. (Both who are better than Formica)"

Official PL stats upto and including the Swansea game.

From those stats I'd say he was more equped for a relegation battle than both the forementioned. ;)
