This the same guy who said Junior had been given permission to talk to Bolton yesterday and he hadn't.

Nicko confirms Samba approach last night - think the warning signs are there :

@Bolt_rovers Rovers had approach from a club with money for Samba last night. Told not for sale. Catergorically. Hoilett won't be sold cheap

Looks like he might be right this time !

£7M Gary Cahill money to Bolton then?

I'm sure he said he wouldn't go to Bolton the other week though.

Absolute worst case scenario would be Hoilett to Bolton and Samba to QPR, strengthening our rivals whilst seriously weakening our team, would be suicidal and nailed on relegation.

Botia would be a great signing.

Spanish under 21 international, only 23 years old and a great future ahead of him.

Don't know if it is possible...

Relegation is nailed on anyway without new players added to the better ones we have already ..

No it isn't, We all know what can change in the second half of a season.

Why even bother making this comment? Relegation is far from "nailed on". Even with no new signings, I would suggest that "on paper" we have a similar strength or better squad than Norwich, Bolton, West Brom, Swansea, Wigan, QPR, maybe even Sunderland, Fulham and Everton..

What do you get out of being so negative? bet your a wheeze down the pub..

Because we're in the bottom three, and have been most of the season.

Because Kean's win ratio isn't good enough.

On paper, we may have a decent squad (I don't think we have but that's my opinion) but without a decent manager, we don't have them organised properly.

Our midfield is in dire, dire need of improvements. With a couple of days left of the last chance to bring in new faces, we have just given a new contract to David Dunn.

Without proper funds being made available and/or decent management, relegation is nailed on (i.e. almost certain).

If it were Norwich, Wigan or Burnley in our exact position, I would say they were certain for relegation. That's not negativity, it's reality.

Gone are the days when we'd have page after page on this thread.

Says it all when you've got a couple of days left for the window to close and it's only page 46

I will reply , I have been watching BRFC for a long time ,this squad we have is poor , very poor with SAmba and Hoillet..Our results over the last 14 months suggest only one thing to me ...

We have owners and a manager who are not worthy of their respective positions ..I do not want Rovers to be relegated far from it .

It could be classed as negative but also realistic ..We need at least 2 premier quality players now to hit he ground running ..We also have to keep our best players ....

I think nailed on is a bitt OTT. A near certainty however, is probably the truth.

Between now and the end of the season I think we are capable of out-performing Wigan, Wolves and Bolton. It's going to be close though.

Hence why I said near certainty. The escape is still possible but not very likely unless we can get consecutive wins and keep clean sheets in some games. Could even come down to goal difference in which case we really need those clean sheets to start piling up.

Optimistically, Wigan are down. Bolton look like they're trying very hard to bring in decent players before Feb 1st, but if they dont manage to then I reckon they'll be down as well. We're in relatively good form and probably have a better first XI if everyone is fit and Samba gets his act together in comparison to most of the teams in the bottom 5/6

Think its between us and Wolves as it stands although I wouldn't be surprised if Swansea got dragged into it. Tough to call. Holding onto Hoilett may just prove the difference because the Yak will need some feeding.
