Wigan

Wolves

Our lot

Bolton

QPR

Correct me if I'm wrong but haven't we spent the most this season out of the current bottom five (not all fees listed and a facile point but still...)?

I'm also trying to find a form table that doesn't list the cup games but I'm pretty sure we'd be doing quite well in that.

So currently the only player that I'd particularly like at Ewood is Onuoha and the rest is a wash. The owners are clearly clueless but whilst our fanbase scrapes the barrel of doom and gloom we quietly seem to be turning a corner. 8 points from 5 games including away trips at Everton, Liverpool and Man Utd comprise our best run of an admittedly poor season. Whilst it makes the run of losses against Sunderland, West Brom and Bolton all the more bitter it means we aren't "nailed on" relegation candidates.

It's far too easy to look at our problems, which are very real and immediate, and think the worst but the actuality is that the fans of Wigan, Wolves, Bolton and QPR are just as worried as us plus those of West Brom, Everton, Swansea and Fulham are anxiously looking over their shoulder.

The club has serious problems but the hyperbole about inevitable relegation when we're currently a point from mid table and nine from 10th borders on the ridiculous.

Given we have just about the worst owners in the league, and, according to some, the worst ever Premier League manager, what does it say about the teams around us? Gartside and Whealan are Walkers come too late for big success and are in the mire with us. QPR had Allardyce lite with Warnock and moneybags Tony Fernandes and sit but 2 points to the good of our shambles.

These aren't reasons to not be angry at our ownership nor apologies made for them. They are reasons for belief and hope and a fighting spirit. If we let our owners, be they naïve or méchant, take that from us we are truly lost.

one thing is for sure, our squad wont have been improved with the mentioned names, it is/was vital that this window was used to bring in some quality to help our fight, we havent done that so when you look at what qpr have done and what bolton are trying to do, we have gone backwards in my opinion!!!

That isn't for sure at all. I'd be surprised if you've ever watched the players we've signed and are signing. So judging them already is fairly ridiculous. Most of us can very easily bring to mind a long list of players who were nobodies and make quick impacts.

On the subject of Bradley Orr though...my boss is an avid QPR fan, and he says he's awful. According to him, he isn't good enough for QPR's defence (pre-window), which surely means he won't be good enough for ours any time soon?
