jones_rover Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 At least we aren't signing Wayne Bridge like Sunderland! Edit - Bradley Orr is hardly inspiring either!
Mercer Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I hoping we can get someone like Lucas Barrios on loan till end of the season. Fulham are in for him, Chaddy - you must have an ability to use your laptop whilst having sweet dreams !!!! I'd rather we signed nobody than Bradley Orr. What an utter embarrassment. Totally agree. Maybe Kean's also looking at his twin brother...Ivor.
ewoodpo Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Alan Nixon on Twitter. Dos Santos wants to quit Spurs for Villarreal. Ravel Morrison being offered to clubs. Rovers medical for Orr, no big money offer for Formica
47er Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 We're going to do wor business early...... and Venkys have always supported me. Everything I've asked for I've got. Probably because I was asking for other people's opinions. That's what I gave you!
Mercer Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Unbelievably boring and depressing is this lot.
B75 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I don't know much about either rb but surely sitter with his European experiences etc would be a better bet . A guy that can't get a game for qpr . Oh the pain !! . Surely there are better prem players currently with splinters in their erse than him .
Gav Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I'm suprised we're looking at doing any business with the current financial situation the club seemingly finds itself in
Resigned Rover Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I don't know much about either rb but surely sitter with his European experiences etc would be a better bet . A guy that can't get a game for qpr . Oh the pain !! . Surely there are better prem players currently with splinters in their erse than him . A guy that can't get his game for QPR or a guy that can't get his game for a mediocre Swiss team. Definition of a no win situation right there!
patrickvalery Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I'm suprised we're looking at doing any business with the current financial situation the club seemingly finds itself in I dunno if i'd call it business Gav. Charity maybe. Like a home for washed up, failed and ex-con footballers.
B75 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Have a point there. Dunno if it was that dodgy thing I ate out the fridge this mornin but I have a horrible feeling in my gut today it gonna be a very bad day for rovers .
Hughesy Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I'm suprised we're looking at doing any business with the current financial situation the club seemingly finds itself in Surprised we haven't got a transfer embargo if rumours are to be believed.....
True Blue & White Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I think Sutter would be a better signing, he has Champions League experience which we'll need in a few years time when Venky's steer us to 4th....that is still the plan right?
Captain Spaulding Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Not the most Orr-inspiring signing we'll ever make.... I'll get my coat
booth Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Well the poorest transfer window so far since... Well the last transfer window, which looks great in comparison. Anyone think we may make a couple of last minute signings which may define our season? The pessimistic me thinks it may be the other way round. Last minute exodus of key players that may define our season
Mercer Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Surprised we haven't got a transfer embargo if rumours are to be believed..... Hughesy - you are the eternal optimist, however, not even you could put any positive spin on the signings of Modeste & Orr. I'd rather we'd have kept our powder dry
A cup of beans Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 ok.. so people on here are upset cos we arent signing a player from the swiss league! talk about a pub league! the championship is of a higher standard! even their national team is rubbish! calm down! always rated orr when he was in the championship. im prepared to wait and see. (after all, i slagged off the yak etc... ). for those wanting more details on his involvement in the brawl.. and headbutting his own team-mate.. My link he cant be condemned and banned from football because of his month in jail -6 years ago. i bet most of us on here have been involved in alcohol fuelled fights before! i have.
Bunford Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 even their national team is rubbish! As in the very same and only team that beat Spain in last World Cup you mean?
Parsonblue Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Surprised we haven't got a transfer embargo if rumours are to be believed..... I think we'd be better off with a transfer embargo rather than signing the likes of Orr. It would appear that we are trying to get rid of our deadwood to make room for more deadwood from other clubs. The only real deadwood that needs to be removed from the club is Desai and her brothers.
A cup of beans Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 As in the very same and only team that beat Spain in last World Cup you mean? hardly worth a reply! luckily winning with keeper mistake and 1 shot on goal.. makes you a good side ?
Resigned Rover Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I think we'd be better off with a transfer embargo rather than signing the likes of Orr. It would appear that we are trying to get rid of our deadwood to make room for more deadwood from other clubs. The only real deadwood that needs to be removed from the club is Desai and her brothers. But the deadwood we're bringing in is gonna be on significantly less money than the deadwood going out. This window has never been about strenghtening the squad or team, its been about cutting costs. But i'm sure our intrepid leader will deny this to the hilt and claim that these players will strenghten our push for Europe and "hit the ground running!"
Hughesy Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Hughesy - you are the eternal optimist, however, not even you could put any positive spin on the signings of Modeste & Orr. I'd rather we'd have kept our powder dry I never said anything positive about him so what u banging on about? U abit wet between the ears or something?
