I think blaming just the one man for our probllems is far too easy and naive. I agree Kean needs to take his fair share of the blame for results on the pitch and he does appear to be learning, but the big blame must go to Venkys what is obvious is that Kean has stated he wanted 4 players in, wanted to hit the ground running and get players in early. It's obvious he has not received the funding that was promised and Venkys have not planned properly for the window total shambles like the summer window. I mean bringing in that brazilian fixer with only 12 days of the window to go is just bad planning if they were serious about the club they would have got this bloke 1 day before the window opened. From Venkys point of view their planning is totally shocking and they would have put a decent structure in place to tie up deals. What is obvious they do not have the necessary experience to hire the right people to run the club or they don't care. After this disappointing window they really should have sold to the Qataris this team might be just about good enough to stay up but it is no thanks to venkys who have played russian roulette with our premiership status. So underwhelmed by these clowns just wish they would end this nightmare and sell up.

We are getting left behind by our rivals, QPR look very strong now, with Hughes, Taiwo, Onuoha, Cisse and Zamora - whereas we have no money and an incompetent manager. Venky's Out!

Looks like the Zamora one is stalling a bit, did I read somewhere he wanted 90k/week :o

Either way, much better than us!

Dunno who it is but looks like Bolton are getting someone in:

reluctantnicko Alan Nixon

Been a good hour for Bolton after all. Not naming the guy until it's done. But bid in and player wants to come. Yip-feckin-pee.

I think it might be Jay Rod from our friends down the road

Based on Nicko's previous bigging up of mediocre transfer deals I bet its nothing to be too jealous of. I disagree with those who think Bolton have made any great strides in this window.

1925: Watford fans, be afraid... striker Marvin Sordell, who looked very lively when I saw him against Tottenham in the FA Cup last week, is not playing. BBC Sport understands he was withdrawn from the starting line-up at the request of the club's owner.

We were linked with him at the start of the window. Nothing to do with Keith Andrews' impending move freeing up some money is it...?

relegation rivals strengthening, bolton, fulham and qpr, us wigan and wolves going backwards or moving sideways, i wonder which 3 are likely to go down?

I can't see that QPR and Fulham were ever likely to be our relegation rivals. Its probably going to be 3 from 4 to go down and, as poor as the window has been for us, I don't think we are worse than Bolton, Wolves, Wigan. I predict a 17th place finish and Venkys toasting our brilliant manager and another year of Premier League high-society status for them (followed by a crap summer transfer window and another relegation battle next year).

Still think midfield is a priority. Do we really need another striker?

I suppose Modeste is only here on loan, and if the deal and money is available wouldnt be the worst move.

yes we do need another striker in my opinion, modeste is modest at best, goodwillie is goodwilling at best and yakubu is our only proper striker!!!

Goodwillie is paid to score goals and has been doing? look at his record he has looked sharper the more he plays.

And FFS give Modeste a chance he has only plaid for 15 min in a period where we were not attacking as much in the game.

  • Moderation Lead

People seem to be a bit over-concerned about a few things (not the window itself, that has been ######!), but Lowe in midfield, Orr at rb? Is that beyond feasibility?

Looks as though maynard is on his way to west ham. Shame.

Maynard ok. But has been hyped up a bit. I saw him play for bristol city v brighton. Did not have a single shot on goal.Though city were crap that day.
