Backroom DE. Posted April 7, 2012 Backroom Posted April 7, 2012 Do we have any fans in india? Yep... saw 'em in the highlights of the Pune game. Some of them had a Kean out banner
rovers1993 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Is there no news at all from Venkys? No little snippet or something? There has to be some news! Has to! someone please just go and bug the ###### out of them. they really don't deserve anything in life and should just rot.
Backroom Tom Posted April 7, 2012 Backroom Posted April 7, 2012 And to think I Gave them the benefit of the doubt.
nick123 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 And to think I Gave them the benefit of the doubt. To be fair, there was a moment, a fleeting moment when we thought it might work. But from the very moment I saw thought pony tail, I thought what a #### !!
Stuart Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Believe it or not it's a great shame that the Pune9 ended up being made mugs of. The time for I-told-you-sos is long gone.

Kamy has tweeted that Venky's will be meeting in May to discuss the future of the club. Kamy added that he doesn't think Venky's will sell. Other than pride, I can't see why Venky's would want to keep it. The biggest fear is that the club will be stuck in a cycle of Venky's refusing to sell the club but do not invest in the team.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 And to think I Gave them the benefit of the doubt. Venky's have used and abused everything and everyone at this club Tom...you are not alone. We have ALL been decieved.
Backroom Tom Posted April 7, 2012 Backroom Posted April 7, 2012 Bottom club to get £37 million http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/premier-league-teams-to-receive-record-tv-pay-out-2281482.html
perthblue02 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Bottom club to get £37 million http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/premier-league-teams-to-receive-record-tv-pay-out-2281482.html Well fingers crossed that will be enough for them to pay off Kean & associates with their hush money and then V's can pocket the rest and bugger off
Stuart Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Ch-ching. And without spending a penny. "You can't lose"
tomphil Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Bottom club to get £37 million http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/news-and-comment/premier-league-teams-to-receive-record-tv-pay-out-2281482.html Now we see the real story. They have possibly used the clubs own assets ie Samba etc to maybe reduce the debt and run the club. So if we are almost debt free at the end of the season they can pilfer most of that £37 mill. No wonder their f####n hiding in Pune
Andy Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Which is all good and well for Venky's, but where does that leave the club...?
tomphil Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Which is all good and well for Venky's, but where does that leave the club...? Maybe debt free? In the championship with hardly any assets worth owt left and nothing to spend probaly. Also with the prospect of running up big debts again just to keep going at that level.
perthblue02 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Which is all good and well for Venky's, but where does that leave the club...? probably in the championship with an empty safe. Just sending a copy of the 37 million link to Blingy Rao along with a picture of a Bugatti Veyron and an Argos Jewellery catalogue, think he might change his mind about selling?
sentient Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 (Please don't use that word again) the media. They don't care about us.
broadsword Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 If we go down and they don't sell, then we'll go down again
jodrell Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I heard a rumor yesterday that Venkey's have closed their Barcley's account. Anyone know if this is true.
gumboots Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I heard a rumor yesterday that Venkey's have closed their Barcley's account. Anyone know if this is true. Behind the times! It's all discussed in the thread about employees not being paid.
Moptop Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Heard yesterday from someone who works at the club that we ARE in serious financial meltdown. Suggestions are we are keeping it quiet until the end of season. If this is the case and we are going into administration, wouldn't it be better now to declare and lose the ten points and be relegated then start next season with the ten point deduction?
thenodrog Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Venky's have used and abused everything and everyone at this club Tom...you are not alone. We have ALL been decieved. Speak for yourself please SG.
Rovermatt Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 wouldn't it be better now to declare and lose the ten points and be relegated then start next season with the ten point deduction? This makes way too much sense.
Neil Weaver Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 If this is the case and we are going into administration, wouldn't it be better now to declare and lose the ten points and be relegated then start next season with the ten point deduction? Leeds United filed for administration with only a few days remaining in the 2006–07 season, which automatically triggered a 10 point penalty. This placed Leeds at the bottom of the table and relegated the club, but they were extremely likely to have been relegated anyway. By entering administration during the 2006–07 season, they hoped to avoid starting the 2007–08 season on −10 points. The Football League saw this as a club trying to exploit a loophole and changed the rules. From 2007–08, any club entering administration after the fourth Thursday in March would have their 10 point deduction suspended until the following season. Similarly, if a club were relegated the deduction was also to be suspended until the start of the following season.
Ray-Von Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I suspect that the Venkys would have one eye on dropping league places and therefore, prize money.
chaddyrovers Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 venkys share price keep falling their price is down by over 50% since they bought the club http://www.moneycontrol.com/india/stockpricequote/miscellaneous/venkys/V03 Will this force them to sell? what will their shareholders in India say to them and force them to sell???
