I swear I remember Kean saying last season when Hoilett was playing well that he didn't want to distract him by discussing a new contract yet. Well look where that's got us - anyone remember him saying similar or able to dig up some quotes?

So frustrating listening to lies and false promises. Even more frustrating is the shoddy journalism that doesn't ask why these things aren't happening.

The 'winnable games' may of been what Andy Cryer described it as with Kean saying it slightly differently??

As far as I remember he was asked about the poor run of form that the team were on and what he had to say them about it. His answer was something like; "We have a run of 6 games which we think are very winnable and which we can pick up points in. I would ask the fans to judge us after this run of games."

Nothing has been heard on this subject since.

If anything, it sounds like he's dangling a worm towards Celtic to sign him up. Could see him going on loan til the end of the season (contractual issues permitting).

I've been thinking for ages, if anyone had time, it would be great to go back through all SKs previous interviews and statements to highlight all the things that are either a bit of a PR own goal (the new Chris Smalling type stuff), have turned out to be not true or promises that have yet to be fulfilled.

Steve Kean is now practically blaming the previous manager and owners over the Hoilet situation because he was only given a 2 year contract by them!, seriously can these cretins not sink any lower, Kean and the owners have had over 12 months to try and convince him to sign up to a new contract, But from Hoilets point of view what has happened in the last 12 months that would give him any reason to want to stay if a bigger team wants him(or just any team not run and managed by clowns).

I said exactly the same thing quite some time ago, it is largely Big Sam/JW's fault that he was only given 2 years which didn't really show much belief in his abilities. Off the back of all of that running around to Canada etc. to see his dad/agent, it seemed idiotic only to offer 2 years . Perhaps it was the safety net of knowing that he wouldn't be able to leave for nothing at the end of the contract.

Rovers put a deal in place many months ago that reading between the lines Hoilett agreed to sign. So, honestly I can't see why Kean should get vilified for this one.
