bluebruce Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 They're also tremendous debt, with an owner who wants out.

Lurid Coat Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Norwegian TV reporting that Harry "Saggy Chops" Redknapp is keen on doing an 11th hour deal for Hoilett. If true, this might explain why we bid for Snodgrass.

If true, this might explain why we bid for Snodgrass. Would make sense. But to be honest we have an international winger who can't get into the team in Vukcevic. Why not play him - he has looked capable when he has played, and spend the money on a good DM or striker?

Why not play him - he has looked capable when he has played, and spend the money on a good DM or striker? Because that would make too much sense for our lovely manager. Strongly agree that Vukcevic has been good when given the opportunity for us. It's a shame that he's not been used more.

Strongly agree that Vukcevic has been good when given the opportunity for us. It's a shame that he's not been used more. We have to many players for the attacking three and most of them its just for the second striker position. At the time we needed creativity and strong competition for Dunn. Kean went too far. Pedersen, dunn, olsson, formica, rochina, hoilett, vukcevic. 4 of them are fighting for the second striker imo
Hughesy Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Glad he stayed - could be vital in our push to stay up. Hope we can try and get him on a new deal, but convinced we wont.

Why not play him - he has looked capable when he has played, and spend the money on a good DM or striker? Creative, takes a good free kick, did well against england and has looked good when played, and yet he can't get a game for toffee. Stick him on the right Numpty.
Clitherover Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Metro reporting that he could be on his way to Bayern in the summer. My link Would be better than seeing him play for Spurs at least.

Josh Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Hoilett over Ribery, Robben and Muller? I highly doubt it will happen
Torgeir Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Been offered to PL clubs with only Bolton interested. Next stop Germany, it's probably just an agent who's trying to hype him up so he can get a contract at a top 10 side like Werder Bremen or Leverkusen.
LeChuck Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Been offered to PL clubs with only Bolton interested. Well, only interested at the price we set in January. I suspect he'll have more takers when it's a nominal tribunal fee.
Torgeir Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Well, only interested at the price we set in January. I suspect he'll have more takers when it's a nominal tribunal fee. Could be. But if he went back to Germany there would be no transfer fee involved at all and he could potentially pocket a sizable amount himself.
LeChuck Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Yeah, I suspect that might have been his plan all along to be honest. I'm sure he said many favourable things about Germany when he came back from St. Pauli.
Nelsta Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Still lacking any end product. Agree, Hoilett is a good little player, but his finishing and descion making is abysmal at times. I dont think he'd be a first team regular in a top 6 team.
pick32 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Dont think end product is a problem for him, alot of people say walcott and lennon have no end product aswel just because they cant cross. These type of wingers dont need to cross they can beat there man run it into the box and put it on a plate for the strikers. The one nagative i would say about Hoilet is that he lets games pass him by and is inconsistent. But having said that on his day he would walk into any team and is one of best players we have produced since duff if not the best.

Seggie Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/blackburn_rovers/news/9515629.Rovers_fear_losing_star_on_the_cheap/ I hope he goes and sits on Bayerns bench and Venkys get 700k for him. I few years ago I would have been livid at the thought of Rovers losing out so badly, personally now I hope he gets that massive opportunity to play for one of Europes top clubs and after all the BS Kean and Venky's have spoke the get sweet FA for him. Hoillett will like the rest of our squad will leave with my best wishes.
Telf Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Whatever happens and if he does leave Blackburn will lose out http://www.google.com/3882-blackburn_to_bayern.html
Rover_Shaun Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Whatever happens and if he does leave Blackburn will lose out http://www.google.com/3882-blackburn_to_bayern.html Not another insipid google article based on 3 day old newspaper tales.
blue_n_white99 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 The deluded one has told Sky that he still hopes Junior will sign in the summer, is it me or should Kean not be allowed out unsupervised? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7524690/?
