den Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Get in ! I am particularly pleased because he is my all time favourite player. It is not often that hero worship manages to survive hearing the object of adoration open his mouth - but this is brilliant. Fergie, you are an absolute legend ! As a teenaged lad in the mid-sixties I joined the others gathered behind the nets who claimed that "The Darwen End is better than the Kop" to pay homage. Flamboyantly skilful though not the most disciplined of players, Fergie was my hero. FERGIE FOR ENGLAND ! Loved Ferguson Winston, loved him. His technique was something else. He started off on the right wing where he was one of five making the best Rovers forward line I've ever seen. Eventually he moved inside taking the No 10 shirt that Douglas had left vacant. He was terrific there as well. A bit of devil in him that makes top players.

Gav Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Mr Andersons now taking legal action, but againts who aka publicity stunt, as Fergie said, "Jerome you couldn't pick your nose"
47er Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 A very good player and a great character. What would he be worth today ? I remember the time he stuck one on an opponent at Ewood and got sent off ! Think it was Coventry but 40 odd years ago ! It was a vital promotion game. Fergie got sent off just on half-time. Coventry went up and we didn't. We didn't get close for a while after! Interesting that Ferguson can see what Big Col apparently can't------mind you he's not looking for a job!
Shaft Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 "Jerome you couldn't pick your nose" Somebody get this on bed sheet for tomorrow. Please. (Mine arent fit to be publicly displayed )
Amo Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Apologies if already posted: Statement from Jerome Anderson
Fife Rover Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Do you mean 'ulterior'? Yes.....just got a little over excited and rushed in without looking.
yoda's brother Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Of course they degrade it. If a person issuing a statement damning the actions of somebody else can't even be bothered to check their own work, why would you take what they have to say seriously? Serious statements should be written in a serious manner. not evrybody is an expert int english langwage tha nose, doesnt mean they cant have an opinion or write letters.
ruggles1995 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 went to the pub tonight, 1 of my mates is a spurs fan, he couldnt care less about rovers, havent seen this mate in about 2 months, after the hellos, the 1st thing he said to me was " that anderson what a complete pr!ck". Anderson has not done himself any favours by doing this interview. If he wants the abuse to stop I suggest a$$ licking to be a 1st step, not having a dig and thinking that would be end of
Mercer Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 not evrybody is an expert int english langwage tha nose, doesnt mean they cant have an opinion or write letters. Agree - there's too many grammar 'snobs' on here who need to get real and get a life ! Might be wrong here butisn't Richard Branson dyslexic ? Not done too badly !
Amo Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Agree - there's too many grammar 'snobs' on here who need to get real and get a life ! How is pointing out elementary spelling/punctuation mistakes being a 'snob'? This is basic stuff, man.
RTM08 Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 not evrybody is an expert int english langwage tha nose, doesnt mean they cant have an opinion or write letters. So one one side you have Jerome Anderson with his PA who has typed up a statement in good English, against a reply from a Rovers fan full of errors. Which one is a neutral most likely to think is of the correct view?
47er Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 So one one side you have Jerome Anderson with his PA who has typed up a statement in good English, against a reply from a Rovers fan full of errors. Which one is a neutral most likely to think is of the correct view? Glen said it was a draft. So chill out. In any case, if we come across as unsophisticated football supporters who can't spell all that well but care passionately about their club what damage is done? Neutrals won't win this battle for us anyway.
Rovermatt Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Agree - there's too many grammar 'snobs' on here who need to get real and get a life ! Might be wrong here butisn't Richard Branson dyslexic ? Not done too badly ! You're not serious are you? Do you honestly believe that issuing a statement to the press riddled with spelling and grammatical errors is acceptable? Not giving a sh!t about the English language on here is one thing but sending out press statements which are badly written is quite another. If you think anything other than a properly drafted release will be given its due attention you are mistaken.
JamieUK Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Just witnessed some v classy comments from Myles Anderson on twitter but looks like he's made his account private now... "abuse me all you like. You're only jealous cos I'm loaded" and saying someone looked like they had down syndrome. Nice family these Anderson folks... Unfortunately for Myles I managed to get screen grabs before he took it all down. Will upload tomorrow...
Backroom Tom Posted January 14, 2012 Backroom Posted January 14, 2012 It seems blatantly fake in my opinion and if so quite brilliant the amount of people he has lured into abusing the account. He's a troll, a successful one at that. If he was real then the trolling would be on a whole other level.

He's a troll, a successful one at that. If he was real then the trolling would be on a whole other level. It's all about making the fans look bad.
yoda's brother Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 So one one side you have Jerome Anderson with his PA who has typed up a statement in good English, against a reply from a Rovers fan full of errors. Which one is a neutral most likely to think is of the correct view? and which one cares more for the club ? you are missing the point.

Which one is a neutral most likely to think is of the correct view? However, when complaining about mistakes, it is wise to avoid making them! I've fallen foul of that rule a few times myself.
RTM08 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 and which one cares more for the club ? you are missing the point. My point is that the fans come across much better with a grammatically correct statement which shows our passion. Jerome is already tripping over his own lies, we just need to show him up for what he is. This is done better with a response listing all his contradictions in a thought out, articulate manner. However, when complaining about mistakes, it is wise to avoid making them! I've fallen foul of that rule a few times myself. oops.

Rovermatt Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Yes I'm quite aware of that. Thanks for pointing it out again. I was replying to another poster who suggested that using proper grammar in these things didn't really matter.
Backroom DE. Posted January 14, 2012 Backroom Posted January 14, 2012 The panel on Soccer Saturday disagreeing with JA's comments of "dark forces". You know Anderson's dropped a clanger when even his mates at Sky Sports can't defend him, Merson and Thompson both criticising him. Nicholas not defending him either. They seem to be a little bit softer on us this week. Even Nicholas is struggling to defend Kean at this point.
windymiller7 Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Just watched Soccer Saturday also. It actually seems like we're finally getting through to them. Even Merson said that he's known JA since he was 17 & his comments would've wound him up if he was a Rovers Fan. Even Charlie Nicholas criticising him! Understanding from all of the panel, I'm in shock! After weeks of slagging us off, they're finally seeing our point and have slated Venky's handling of it all. We need more of this from Sky and other stations! Venky's Out! Kean Out!
Backroom DE. Posted January 14, 2012 Backroom Posted January 14, 2012 Nicholas still desperately tried to throw in the "booing when they score" line but Stelling pretty much ignored it
