Come On You Blues!!!

This is a rallying call to all antipodean BRFC fans from the fledgling BRANZACs - Blackburn Rovers Australian & New Zealand Supporters Club

At present we have established an electronic mailing list, but after speaking with admin at BRFCS & Vital Blackburn they have agreed to help with hosting (if that's the right word).

I promise you I'm not on-selling any info nor have I any financial gain from this - I'm putting the time & effort in purely because of my love for Rovers, and Ithose of you who know me personally can vouch for that.

My aim is simply to create a network of us loyal Rovers and maybe let people swap stories, swap jokes get info & maybe discuss the difficulties of conducting a long distance love affair.

I know we're a minority group over here, but we're a proud and passionate mob. Aussies are aware of 'the tyrany of distance' but the aim of BRANZACs is to bring us all closer.

Please get back in touch with me if you want more info.

You can either email me on [email protected], SMS or call me on 0421 752 655, Tweet me on @BrisRover or PM me at BRFCS

John

Blackburn Rovers Australian & New Zealand Supporters Club

Possibly the biggest Supporters Club ever? When you are looking at square mileage/KM's?

Should make an annual get together interesting in a central location, any decent pubs around Uluru (Ayers Rock) will have to bring our own astro turf for a kick about :)

Good Luck guys.

If you want website/email/blog/publicity for it (for free, obviously), just give me a shout (we did int for the NYC crew and I'm talking to a couple of other groups)..

Update --- Ooops, just noticed the second line, seems you've already got it covered. No worries

Thanks to all for help, support and encouragement. The response so far has been even better than I was expecting.

Have been some interesting developments and I will post an update when I get back home from Ben's Sunday morning football. Lot to share.

Sending this from my phone and can be a tad frustrating!

Once again my phone number is 0421752655

Feel free to chat or txt me

Great result last night

Well, I'm still in Portugal but I'll probably be able to join the Blackburn Rovers Australian & New Zealand Supporters Club in a few months. Hopefully, I'll move to Sidney in 6 months... Hope to join your club then.

You can introduce yourself to Sydney Rovers (Vic), His parents are Portugese I think.

The Portugese expats have a club in Sydenham.

The Portugese expats have a club in Sydenham.

Their football club is Fraser Park. I've played against them numerous times in the over 35's league. They play in the Portugese strip.

Sydney Rovers' family is from Madeira, I think.

It will be nice to join a Rovers Community.

Over here, I have only one friend that is a fan of Rovers like I am.

why delay?

join us now and start building those connections!

I can assure you there are many many Rovers fans in Sydney and all great guys as well!!!!

MASSIVE MASSIVE THANKS TO BRFCS (and yes I am shouting!!)

keep watching this site for some great antipodean developments.

Something good has come out of all the 'stuff' happening at Ewood, it has served as a motivator to get BRANZACS up and running.

Proud of the response from everybody, especially BRFCS & Vital Blackburn.

As we've got a little more flexibility that Vital (one of the nice things with owning our own servers etc), John's taken us up on the offer to help out. I'll be working with him over the next few days to sort stuff out, but for now, we have a BRANZACS website/blog up and running (but there is no content yet, so it's silly me linking it) and a subsection of the forum at http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/index.php/forum/81-branzacs/

I'll obviously continue to help where I can and if anyone else wants help with this kind of thing for their unofficial supporters group (it doesn't have to be another country, local ones are fine too), the just shout. More than happy to set them up.
