cesus Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I could be wrong but I was under the impression that the 6-7 million figure was including his contract? Something about Brum not losing face about selling their prize asset and Rovers looking like they're actually spending money. Yes I heard that too Gally, not sure if it was on here or twitter but the major fee was taking on/buying out the contract.

Mattyblue Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 £2million and it is still daylight robbery. Maybe we have just been spoilt with some top class centre backs over the years, but as LeChuck says, I am struggling to think of a redeeming feature. Come back Dailly and Peacock, all is forgiven.
Waggy76 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Myles Anderson must be some footballer if he cannot get a game before this clown !!!!! After all he is the new Chris Smalling ................
budha Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Can't stop smiling when I read from the LET that Scott Dann's contract is believed to have a £6M release clause. Atleast that's one trigger we don't have to fear to be trigged. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/9695674.Venky_s_to_hold_Blackburn_Rovers_crisis_talks/

bluebruce Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Very true , but that means we are stuck with a totally useless player... We can sell him for less. Hopefully we sell him for less.
Josh Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 It wouldn't suprise me to see one of the newly promoted clubs buying both him and Roger Jonhson. I pray for the team that does if it happens
Tim Southampton Rover Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 The thing about Scott Dann is that his reputation is still high after his good 1st season at Birmingham whilst in the Premier League. I really hope a team is stupid enough to come in and meet his clause and think they're getting a bargain.
Hughesy Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Saw a report yesterday which suggested both Reading & Southampton are looking at him, but also that Villa are still interested. Please, take him!
hesfromburn Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 I hope they take him, watching a few of the youth games 1 or 2 of our defenders are leaps and bounds ahead of dann in ability, mobility and passion Id rather let them try make their mark in the championship that that useless lump Dann but alas.....KEAN. (But hopefully the need to get rid of players will push him out)
Drover Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I agree, talking to friends who don't really watch rovers they still think that scott dann was a great signing. Somehow his reputation has remained intact despite frankly woeful performances for us. I think AM at villa is most likely to buy him as he was his manager at birmingham and so will probably hold his personal experiences with him over the fact he's been awful for us this season.
Mafioso Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 Dann is like Rovers version of Jean Alain Boumsong (ex-newcastle). Utter garbage yet somehow always found himself playing for some top teams. Including Juventus. Not that Dann is ever going to play for Juventus...
Fraserkirky Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 I have never seen a centre half ###### himself, like Dann does, when players ran at him with the ball. It's embarrising. Get rid
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 12, 2012 Moderation Lead Posted May 12, 2012 I do hope people outside of East Lancs do start to realise that he in fact is gash, along with Roger Johnson. 2 relegations in 2 seasons is no co-incidence.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 12, 2012 Moderation Lead Posted May 12, 2012 I hope they don't, then we may be able to get rid of the clown. Haha fair point. Well, eventually in the football world anyway!

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 12, 2012 Moderation Lead Posted May 12, 2012 Would Dann not be an asset in the Championship? He wouldn't be an asset at the soccerdome....
Salgado Is A Hero Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 In no way would he be an asset in the Championship.......altho others have pointed out things he is terrible at, imo the worst part of his game is his (lack of) ability to win headers and there will be a lot more of them to win next season. We can also amazingly still get a relatively high transfer fee for him and should be sold as quickly as possible. He left Birmingham after they were relegated so even if nobody originally bids he will surely try an engineer a move away. Good riddance you poor excuse for a footballer.
chaddyrovers Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 sell him and get our money back. and buy a proper Centre Back for the Championship like Luke Chambers from Forest
bluebruce Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 He wouldn't be an asset at the soccerdome.... That tickled me!
Stand & Deliver Posted June 7, 2012 Posted June 7, 2012 Joke of a player! Sell Dann and keep Givet please!!!
Rovers_Dan Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 we dont need scott dann or 7th dann on our payroll really.
