onlyonejackwalker Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Best of luck to a brilliant ambassador of the game and excellent player for the Rovers. I hope Spurs can win the title and Friedal and Nelsen can enjoy the celebrations. Nelsen has way too much class to have any lasting association with the idiots in charge at the Rovers and is better off as far away as possible. Shame we did not get chance to give him the send off he deserves. Soon there will nothing left of the Rovers we knew apart from Billy Bullshit and a few scrawny wannabees that no-one else wanted running around.

Boz Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 The Walkers The Trustees The Manager The Chairman The Managing Director The Finance Director The Future Captain of England The Club Captain The Team Captain and finally on Saturday 5th May 2012 at 5pm ....... the supporters, would the last one out please turn off the lights, lock the doors and push the keys through the letter box. When the Venkys and their coach have finished with us, perhaps they might return this once proud football club to the stakeholders.
LeChuck Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 "Fit and raring to go" was what Bond actually said apparently, which means something totally different. Cryer or someone should ask about Nelsen's fitness today. Either Kean has lied (again) or Nelsen has. Or he has Lazarus Syndrome. Let's see when he plays his first game before judging anything. I suspect Tottenham will want to make out like he's fit and ready to play to try and appease fans who think they have signed a past-it crock.
Gav Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 MattDunnExpressMatthew Dunn @ @CryerRovers Been "fit for weeks" according to Kevin Bond... Backs up what I was told over Christmas, Nelson has been fit since the last week of November, but Kean wouldn't play him, disgusting.
chris Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 You see it's ths inaccurate reporting on sites such as this that plays into Keans hands. I don't like the guy as much as the next man but we do need to get the stats right. 500 Letters a DAY I was thinking a week was unrealistic
Waggy76 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Backs up what I was told over Christmas, Nelson has been fit since the last week of November, but Kean wouldn't play him, disgusting. If this is true ,Kean wants sacking now !!! That useless Dann plays and Nelsen watches Whats all that about ?....I find all of this season so bizarre there should be a film made !!! The Life of Kean , Starring the usual pythons ..This man really is lower than a snakes belly ..
daverich Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Maybe Nelsen was the one who recently sent an internal email to mrs.d about Kean etc. that got sent straight back to Kean?
forumquizmaster Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Backs up what I was told over Christmas, Nelson has been fit since the last week of November, but Kean wouldn't play him, disgusting. On the (massive) assumption that this is true - why wouldn't Kean play him? I'm no Kean fan but if it was some sort of relationship breakdown or dispute between Nelsen and the club/Kean that contract could have been ripped up by mutual consent at any time if both parties agreed to it.....leaving Nelsen free to join whatever club he wanted to (if fit). What you describe in November doesn't make sense, given the goals we were/are shipping and with Hanley looking shaky and Givet and Dann also out injured/ill around that time. Also, haven't we just signed a young New Zealand lad on Nelsen's recommendation? Surely he wouldn't be advising a young compatriot to come and work for Kean if there were all the behind the scenes occurrences that are rumoured on here, would he? Or am I missing something?
bob fleming Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I was thinking a week was unrealistic 500 letters of support in his entire lifetime is probably unrealistic.
alexanders Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Steve Kean 18/11/2011 - Flailing for excuses. "......we have missed Ryan Nelsen and his leadership qualities on the pitch." 31/1/2012 Ryan Nelsen Released, signs for Spurs thus allowing Bassong to move to Wolves on loan... Not possible to be that stupid. Release an experience player and in addition allowing another relegation candidate to streghten.
Doug Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 SSN announced Nelsen straight into Spuds squad for this weekend!!
cesus Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Daily this whole debacle gets stranger! Nelson fit for weeks ... I give up!
Doug Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 There's something not right here. Straight into squad at Spuds, Keane surprised at this and lists Nelsen's recent history with the injury etc. Spuds claim he's fully fit!!!!! Will we get an explanation on this incredible contradiction between the two clubs??? What is going on, surely Ryan hadn't reached a clause in his contract? He doesn't seem the type who would mislead the club about the seriousness of his injury. This has to be the most bizzare player situation we have had to date under Venkys.
Elvis McSmithy Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 The obvious lies around Nelsens departure told by kean and brfc seriously make me question emertons sudden departure and the whimsy tale told by kean as his reason for letting him go. sick of 'everything' brfc now. Also regardng Nelsen, we where recently told by all that he was going away to Oz or was it New Zealand(whats the diff ) too see an injury specialist, seems more likely he was away planning for his intended move too the usa as a player coach which was scrapped at the last min in favour of a move too spurs.
Amo Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Has anyone checked on how Nicola (aka. Mrs Ryan Nelsen) is bearing up?
Bluefudge Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 We have been betrayed and lied to. How anyone can now listen and believe anything the club says is beyond doubt. We have been taken as stupid, thick inbred children. The time has come for all out war!!!!! We NEED and MUST rid out club of this blood sucking vermin. We are decent fans. The Prem league, the FA, the media must must pick up on stories like this. My feeling is Ryan will sing like a bird loud and clear about our plight soon.
winstonsmith Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Asked to explain why Nelson and Saha had been signed, Kevin Bond, Spurs assistant manager said "I think that experience and that know-how of having been there before is important. They are the right characters. Having those types of characters in the dressing room and the training ground will be really important for us. The type of people they are, I think they can make an important difference". (Telegraph 2/2/12). Did Kean and Venky's not think that our young and inexperienced players facing a desperate relegation battle might benefit from having such a character around ?
DeadlyDirk Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 This whole situation with Nelsen has left me furious, the whole thing makes no sense at all.

Did Kean and Venky's not think that our young and inexperienced players facing a desperate relegation battle might benefit from having such a character around ? We have an experienced manager to guide our shining lights. If I hear any more ###### regarding our young players from Kean, the talk is getting so (Please don't use that word again)en tiresome - we are not a youth academy FFS! Does my head in.
chris Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 500 letters of support in his entire lifetime is probably unrealistic. err are you calling Mr Kean a liar?
oozy Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 My feeling is Ryan will sing like a bird loud and clear about our plight soon. If he hasn't been given a golden handshake to stay quiet, as many of the others have.
Tugay-is-God Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 The way Ryan has been treated is nothing short of scandalous, and it typifies the way our club is being run at the moment.
Foxxx Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Also regardng Nelsen, we where recently told by all that he was going away to Oz or was it New Zealand(whats the diff ) too see an injury specialist, seems more likely he was away planning for his intended move too the usa as a player coach which was scrapped at the last min in favour of a move too spurs. He was back in NZ over the Xmas period to see the All Black's surgeon about his knee. Nelsen seeks a little All Blacks medical magic He was going to be leaving for a Player/Coach role with DC United, when the Spuds interest came about. Ryan Nelsen nearly misses Spurs deal of lifetime From this article: Nelsen says move to Spurs was a 'no brainer' He has had just one game for Blackburn this year because of a knee injury. But Nelsen said he "played for Blackburn behind closed doors this week" and the "knee felt really great". He said he would be able to play immediately, "but my match fitness isn't where I would like it be yet".
BRFC1995 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Absolute gent, clear as day he has been fit for a while and speculating now probably left out for contract/wage related issues despite being ten times the player Dann will ever be. So we pay him up but keep vinny on the books who has been involved in a grand total of 38 league matches both starting and as a sub since being here, exactly 1 seasons worth of matches meaning there has been 2 and a half seasons of zero input on allegedly 35k per week from a 4m transfer. Bonkers.
