Paul Mellelieu Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Guardian report: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jan/15/blackburn-rovers-board-dismay-venkys?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+theguardian%2Ffootball%2Frss+%28Football%29
trueblueroversiloveu Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 May be wrong as i didn't catch it all was the letter even mentioned?
Amo Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Will someone be You Tubing it for those that couldn't see it? Sounds like the BBC were missing the point and pushing their agenda again, from the comments. However, THE TRUTH WILL OUT. Pretty much Glen talking to a brick wall: Leroy Rosenior started with an outburst about the chants/protests against Kean, and the fact Kean has a police escort, and how it's all a disgrace etc. Glen retorted that there's been no police action taken against fans and the media have been blowing the issue out of proportion. He also highlighted how Bruce & Warnock were sacked despite having superior records to Steve Kean. Blondie tried to imply that it was different to QPR's situation as Warnock wasn't their man, Kean is Venky's. Glen spoke some about the state of the boardroom, no leadership etc. and how fans just want transparency from the owners. He also managed to slip in the emergence of this letter. Then they went to a QPR fan who said he understood fans' concerns about the owners but thought the protests were out of line.
trueblueroversiloveu Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I just don't get why no-one cares? This emerged this morning and it's still not on any online news/programs
Waggy76 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I just don't get why no-one cares? This emerged this morning and it's still not on any online news/programs The reason is because it is Blackburn Rovers....Those beastly fans !!!!
thenodrog Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 what if they don't want us back? The ones who were left the club in their portfolio don't want us back. No interest in football whatsoever I believe.
yoda Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I just don't get why no-one cares? This emerged this morning and it's still not on any online news/programs The Guardian are running it
PAFELL Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I just don't get why no-one cares? This emerged this morning and it's still not on any online news/programs There was nothing in the letter we did not already know. The board, JW & TF ETC. were not happy with how venkys were running the club. So resigned. Just that it is a letter to the owners. Nothing that will cause an investigation. One would have started by now. Kamy told us ages ago, there is no investigation. It is a letter about what was commonknowledge at the time. Owners & club likely to investigate how letter was leaked or shared with others.

Good work. I think you'll find this story will pass the BBC by and when the full extent of whats happening at Rovers comes out they will look stupid in their stance against the protests. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what the media, pundits or other supporters think. We know whats happening at OUR club and we'll stand up and be damned. I'M SPARTACUS. NO I'M SPARTACUS !............

That is true , the timing is the key though ..Looking like Anderson got wind of it earlier in the week .. Who got the letter into the public domain ? and are there anymore which are more damning ? More comes out bit by bit and it STINKS ! Venkys out ! Kean out ! Anderson out!

It was known but without hard evidence, this disproves comments by the deluded woman in Pune, that John Williams had fallen out of love with the job or words to that effect and hard evidence of conflict of interest, this is totally different now!
Backroom DE. Posted January 15, 2012 Backroom Posted January 15, 2012 Well done Glen. Not surprised the BBC had an agenda, reading their website over the past few months it's very clear the organisation as a whole is taking a stance firmly against the Rovers fans. Not sure why. On their live text football page it's nothing but tweets and texts supporting Kean. Kind of sad for a supposedly neutral medium.
AJW Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 would it hurt JW now to go public with those concerns and back up that letter and us fans?
Kelbo Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I think there is a company law issue here too, a copy of the letter to the dept of trade and industry wouldnt go amiss either, lets drag it through Parliament.
Waggy76 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Jack Straw is the man who really can stir it up ...Question is will he take the mantle up ??
trueblueroversiloveu Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 It was known but without hard evidence, this disproves comments by the deluded woman in Pune, that John Williams had fallen out of love with the job or words to that effect and hard evidence of conflict of interest, this is totally different now! Also anderson states he was not involved in the appointment of kean, so either the venkys where walking around the ground and happened to stumble upon the great steve kean, so impressed they where with him they offered him the job without a word to the clubs board, despite not knowing anything about football or sem are involved with the appointment. it's one or the other?
Kelbo Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 There is one more thing this letter tells me, in my opinion, it enhances my thoughts that both Venkys and Anderson are outright liars who are unable to be trusted. Now Premier League, have you got the guts to do something about it or are you all in on the act?
yoda Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Jack Straw is the man who really can stir it up ...Question is will he take the mantle up ?? I think he has already started
SirLarsIII Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Also anderson states he was not involved in the appointment of kean, so either the venkys where walking around the ground and happened to stumble upon the great steve kean, so impressed they where with him they offered him the job without a word to the clubs board, despite not knowing anything about football or sem are involved with the appointment. it's one or the other? It is clear Anderson was instrumental in Steve Keans appointment - just as he singlehandedly made John Jensen the assistant manager. John Jensen has often told in danish media that SEM contacted him and said they had a job for him. http://www.tipsbladet.dk/nyhed/generelle/faxe-lige-i-roeven?page=0%2C2 (article in danish - says Anderson contacted him bout the job)
trueblueroversiloveu Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I think he has already started I hope so, it's blatantly obvious by now.... Infact i've been quite surprised as to how easily "this" can be done to a premier league club.
thenodrog Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 It is clear Anderson was instrumental in Steve Keans appointment - just as he singlehandedly made John Jensen the assistant manager. John Jensen has often told in danish media that SEM contacted him and said they had a job for him. Widely reported at the time that Jensen and Kean had never even met before he was appointed. Somebody else must have appointed him then I guess.
colin Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Quite where Rovers will be left when all of this comes out is anybody's guess but I suspect this post on Sporting Intelligence is the start of a tsunami of dung heading towards Pune. Thank you Phillip for that. My sentiments exactly. Or as Terry Pratchett put it "The midden is about to hit the windmill."
McRovers Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 There must be at least one Rovers fan who is/knows a professional assassin! Death to Jerome Anderson!
SirLarsIII Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Widely reported at the time that Jensen and Kean had never even met before he was appointed. Somebody else must have appointed him then I guess. True. Jensen never heard of Kean until Anderson came along http://www.tipsbladet.dk/nyhed/generelle/faxe-lige-i-roeven?page=0%2C2 (danish article - use google translate)
