Given the comments about the BBC's "agenda" further up this thread, I can't help wondering if Roberts, one of the pundits on MotD 2 which has just begun on BBC2, will be asked anything about this.

He wasn't; he was asked about his own and Salgado's contractual position. Repeated reference to the "money men" taking decisions over the manager's head.

maple leaf mention robert coar. im wondering why he is still here when the rest left

See an ealier post I made :

I would think that Rob Coar will be feeling a little uncomfortable about all this. See extract from Daily Mail article:

"Football powerbroker Robert Coar’s standing as an FA councillor and a member of the FA Professional Game Board is down to him keeping his position as a Blackburn director after the Venky’s takeover.

But Coar has kept remarkably silent, despite the clamour from fans for more communication from the board about how the Indian-owned club are being run, especially as he is the only senior representative remaining from previous Blackburn regimes".

Don't think he will be able to sit there and say nowt now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

full interview around 30 minutes in folks from BBC World service tonight, It was tough under the circumstances

i first thought there was a lot of twits tweeting against the fans, when i watched again i think it was about 4 that were shown a couple of times.

anyway its a shame you couldnt have asked that QPR fan if he would have been happy to have kean as manager.

Yeah well done Glenn, you did well. Shame they just aren't prepared to listen, same BBC all over again no matter what their guise. It wasn't balanced at all, all the tweet/texts etc did not go for us, but as previous posters have said there were only about four shown, but they were repeated.

I must say I didn't like the strap-line at the bottom of the screen at one point.."Are Blackburn Fans The Worst?"....disgraceful.

I think I counted 6 actual separate tweets. And I agree - the strapline was a disgrace.

Next time the BBC ask tell them to stick it.

I mean come on, a football programme hosted by a dizzy blonde bird and Leroy 'makes Alan Shearer look like the Lady loves Milk Tray man' Rosenior.

What the hell does Leroy know other than about getting sacked a few times as a manager and having a chip on his shoulder through using the race card rather than his lack of talent?

Leroy was interviewed by Rovers for job as coach before Kean appointed coach !!!

Pity he didn't get it but I think he might be just a tad bitter like we can all be when suffering a knock back.

Well done Glen. You spoke very well and made some good points. I'm sure it must be difficult to keep your composure and a clear head. Next time you are doing an interview, I would make more of Steve Kean's record. Make the point that it isn't just this season, it was last year too. When he took over we were sitting comfortably in mid table. It took a last day win to ensure survival. He's won 9 Premiership games out of over 40. Would all the fans speaking up for him want him to come and manage their team then?

Also, in terms of the protests, they've only got so big because he's been in charge so long. The longer he's been there, the more people have decided that he has to go. Sunderland fans wanted Bruce out. United and Liverpool wanted their owners out. Every week in the Premiership we hear foul mouth personal abuse ringing around stadiums. And yet it's Blackburn fans who get torn to shreds for shouting 'Kean Out'.

Thought this would have grabbed more media interest. Only Guardian running with anything in this morning's edition (Monday)so far as I can see.

Surely, more will come and the pressure will be cranked-up, certainly the likes of Nick Harris & Philipl seeem to think so.

I think your optimism is misplaced. They are hoping we just disappear.

Well letter confirms allot of what people have been saying.. SEM involvement, JW etc being marginalised, Kean & Sam stuff etc etc.. THat letter has one hell of allot of scary information in it and every board member who signed it has since left, makes you wonder if there was more to them leaving than just being marginalised.

One thing I am suprised has not been mentioned on here is the rather interesting paragraph talking about the bank.. "Brian Foreman from Barclays Bank is attending the Liverpool game tommorrow and has asked for a catch up meeting with us before the game. He will inevitably ask about our plans for the transfer window and the present time not only are the Board unaware of these but it has been made clear we will have no input into the strategy. This is unnacceptable and not in the best interests of the club"

Does that not clearly identify at least the beginning of the issues that have led to the bank asking for their funds back, as a business account manager I would get pretty scared if people I have trusted and are supposed to be the board of a company I was funding suddenly didn't have a clue what was going on.

I would love to see the letter that this was in reply to, would add even greater context.

The scary quotes from the letter.. "been instructed by SEM to issue a mandate to a third party without any reference or approval from the board", "In addition, and of greatest concern, as we enter the transfer window, is your instruction that the manager is no longer to report to the board on transfer matters", "we do not believe that this structure is appropriate nor does it allow us to manage the club in the manner required of the board", "Steve Kean is an inexperienced manager who needs day to day support and assistance from people experienced in the running of the football operations"......

Unbelievable that the programme put up those stupid tweets up at the time that you were speaking. They were obviously selected to make you,and us, look in the wrong. Biased journalism at it's very worst. What do these idiots have against us. Don't stop Glenn you did,and continue to do, a great job. How can these knockers defend Kean's record?

As I said before, the BBC will end up with egg on their face if they maintain their negative stance against the supporters and the protests. As more is exposed, the more the protests and supporter disatisfaction becomes justified. We just need the likes of Glen, Nick Harris The LET etc to keep exposing the truth.

And I take my hat off to you Glen sir. A very assured and calm display in the face of hostile questioning.

More please!

Just as a minor point on BBC Worldwide (owners of BBC world news) just in case people start complaining about the BBC as a whole.. they are actually a seperate company (had an interview there a couple of years ago) they are the 'money making' arm of the BBC and a seperate entitity entirely not supported by the license fee or grants.. actually they make a shed load of cash lol. BBC world service is another seperate part of the BBC (paid for by gov grants not license fees).

The difference between the subservient fawning over the slobbering Anderson on SSN and the disrespect shown by the BBC to Glen could not be more stark.

Didn'tKnow that.

The BBC should be self funding full stop then.

Still carries the BBC logo and looks and feels like the BEEB. Their stance on this also matches that

of 'Home' BBC.

And they are both behind the curve on this one

Couldn't agree more. BTW should have included your good self in those exposing the truth. You've been warning us about

JA, very early doors.

Its been quite a week, concluded with a memorable weekend.

Keep the faith.

Lots of stuff to chew over, however, firstly, our owners confessed that when they first took over, they knew very little about football. Therefore, who advised them to sack Sam and appoint Kean as JA claims he had nothing to do with Sam's removal ?

Need some fresh air as feeling nauseous.

For goodness sake, this emerges and all you can do is have a go at Philipl whose insight has been fantastic over the last year and, IMO, will prove to be largely right.

Let me work out in whose interest it would be to advise the new owners of a change in Football Management. Perhaps and only perhaps someone who had a client on its books who happened to be at the club already. I have to say, that I am not sure that Kean has it in him to orchestrate this. Certainly he wouldn't say no to the opportunity and the riches that it would bring. I do believe that he is a pawn in this game rather than a kingmaker. He is certainly in a strong position financially.

This is all so frustrating, because just as we were beginning to have some hope after Saturday, this will serve as another distraction and dampen the spirits. What a pity this did not come out three months ago.
