Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Really, really don't get the Samba up front thing, for loads of reasons. He wasn't very good up front when we last played him there. What is the likelihood of Samba contributing from open play? The beauty of someone like Samba is that you can put them forward for every set piece, even though he's a defender. You're being too kind, from what I remember he was a total embarrassment playing up front, Like a fish riding a bike.

RevidgeBlue Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Would have fancied us to win this had the Yak been available. Everton are so poor up front surely even our defence must be in with a decent shout of keeping a clean sheet.
RoyRover Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 I'd be happy enough with a point out of this one. Everton are poor up front. We are poor defensively. We did well enough without Yakubu last week, but I don't know how we will cope this weekend without him.
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted January 20, 2012 Posted January 20, 2012 Obviously always hoped we would win - but I really do hope we beat them soundly - what a load of rubbish they spout. Decided to have a word
dubdubdub Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 1 - 2 if we play like we did last weekend (without getting a man sent off.)
chaddyrovers Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 My team for today would be:- Robinson; Lowe, Hanley, Dann, Givet; Nzonzi, Pedersen; Hoilett, Dunn, Olsson; Goodwillie Subs:- Bunn, Henley, Petrovic, Vukcevic, Rochina, Formica, Modeste I reckon a 2 nil win for us today, considering Eveton have Jags and Distin out. Hopefully we can hit them on the counter with the pace we got in the side.
Sparky Marky Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Rochina up front instead of penguin feet. Simon instead of fat boy.

Looking at the players in our squad, and notwithstanding Hoilett, I really hope these players who have been 'given their chance' accept their Championship pay cuts and stick around next season.
thenodrog Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Looking at the players in our squad, and notwithstanding Hoilett, I really hope these players who have been 'given their chance' accept their Championship pay cuts and stick around next season. I'm not really bothered what they do. I think we can take it as read that if they get a better offer they will be off whilst we wont be able to get rid of the rest under any circumstances. Bear in mind too that the demands of the Championship are very different to the demands of the Prem. btw it'll be a very difficult game today if the wind doesn't drop. Goodison can be a windy hole.
47er Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Rochina up front instead of penguin feet. Simon instead of fat boy. Which "fat boy" is that? The one who was fouled for the first goal against Fulham and who scored the second?
hesfromburn Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Rochina up front instead of penguin feet. Simon instead of fat boy. YEAH! sod it let's just insult all our teams players, the one with the stupid hair and that one who always has the burn victim gloves they best not be playing?
Gav Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 All I can say about this game is Moyes wants to keep he beak out of our business, "Of course you left in disgust David, the rabble in the Jack Walker upper are often likened to the chicken run at Upton Park, nastly lot they are" ****
rubecula Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Enjoy your trip to Goodison guys hope we give you lads a good welcome. (The chances will be improved if you bring pizza) I have the oddest feeling that this will be a good game. But then they don't allow me out of my padded cell on Saturdays. Hope you all have a great time, although obviously not that good. I said on the Everton forum that I think the best result for everyone would possibly be an Everton win and Mr Kean leaves BRFC at the end.

Sparky Marky Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Which "fat boy" is that? The one who was fouled for the first goal against Fulham and who scored the second? Wow! Short memory. Dunn has gone...past it and one of the reasons we are likely to be relegated .
bennyboyt11 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Could today finally be the day we get a clean sheet?!?!
Clitherover Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 "The one hundred and twenty eight brain cells in Blackburn have been grouped together and showcased by screffy fellas holding pieces of cardboard with "KEaN oUt" on it." Oh Deary me. ...and they wonder why everyone hates scousers.

jones_rover Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Perhaps we should play Myles upfront? http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/eyes-in-the-back-of-his-head-blackburns-myles-anderson-golazo-vs-everton-reserves/
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Surely we're capable of getting a result today given Everton's weakened state. Every time I feel slightly confident we play like " The Dog and Duck " reserve team. Prove me wrong Rovers, I really enjoyed a winning weekend last week. I'll go for 2-2.
hesfromburn Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I have a short memory? GERRIM' TOLD 47ER!
