Backroom DE. Posted January 21, 2012 Backroom Posted January 21, 2012 Dann is one of Kean's "boys" so of course he's going to play. Dann and Givet is still in theory a strong DC unit, anyway. We look pretty weak up front, though.

Tugay-is-God Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 No. Ollson and Hoilett up the left are a potent combination and Givet is best at centre half. I'm not sure, I still think Olsson can be a bit I'd a liability at full back sometimes.
Audax Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Wolves may well defeat Aston Villa today so Rovers could really really use this one to stay up with the pack.
AllRoverAsia Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Let's just get a win today and the crap can be taken care of later.
hesfromburn Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Strong team. After goodwillies goals and performance against Fulham he deserves to start with yak missing. Hanley being dropped after his recent peformances and dann coming back after being out for a long period is suprising. Dann has to step up or fingers could be pointing at him - he has a lot to prove imo
LeChuck Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Let's hope we don't get bullied by the likes of Fellaini, Anichebe and Cahill. From being one of the best teams around in the air we now look one of the weakest.
Sparky Marky Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Staggered that Hanley dropped - has been improving rapidly. Would select him ahead of Dann now. Coco back to normal service. I can't believe this Hanley appreciation society...The guy is too slow, terrible distribution and has been over promoted recently due to our awful awful season.......Proper 1st division dogger.
AllRoverAsia Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I can't believe this Hanley appreciation society...The guy is too slow, terrible distribution and has been over promoted recently due to our awful awful season.......Proper 1st division dogger. Be fair his game has gone from bloody awful to yep 1st Div dogger... He will be useful to us in times to come. OMG
hesfromburn Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Totally agree. He's come on leaps and bounds as of late. Totally different to the Grant of last season. It's probably more the fuss he'd kick up if he wasn't played. Personally I'd pick Grant again but then I'm not the expert. I can't make my mind up about him. He had one good shot from outside the box against Fulham but his general play is slow. He doesn't seem the most mobile to me. On the flip side yo could say there is nobody else...(some of us would like to see rochina in that role)
cesus Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 I can't believe this Hanley appreciation society...The guy is too slow, terrible distribution and has been over promoted recently due to our awful awful season.......Proper 1st division dogger. You clearly haven't seen the last 3-4 games then. Dann has done nothing to replace a currently in form Hanley
sam_rovers Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Surprised Hanley has been dropped; have been really impressed with him over the last 4 games. Let's hope Dann is fully fit and up to the pace, we really need a result here
Al Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Agreed. I think maybe Hanley should start ahead of Dann on current form. Does kind of show that if Samba goes it doesn't weaken us too much. Particularly interested to see how Pingu does up front and if Petrovic can impose himself in the middle of the park against a tight and physical team. Agreed.
Nelsta Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 stats dont look good for us, No starting striker has yet scored for everton, cahil has not scored this season and Saha is playing. Bring on the Rovers charity roadshow!
hesfromburn Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 good work by hoilett then!!! some good play by us! Pretty open so far could go either way, could be game about who gets the first goal.
Backroom Tom Posted January 21, 2012 Backroom Posted January 21, 2012 It always makes me nervous when we let chances go though I feel it will cost us. Villa winning ia good news
EWOODACE1 Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 very good start. dunn should have shot first time
hesfromburn Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 Petrovic's passing is brilliant, not sure about the rest of his game yet..
