Assistant manager?

Posted

If anything I'd imagine Weir maybe being considered as the new no.2. He still lives in Cheshire and has expressed aspirations regarding starting his coaching career.

No surprise at JAL'S Pavlovian response

Keans stupid...... But (hopefully) not this stupid

That said who knows who is in charge of transfers.

Let's hope so!

Could be a cost cutting drive - player-assistant-manager!

If true, which I doubt.....then I have no problem whatsoever of having Weir as a Player/Coach. I believe he is extremely highly thought of by players and is both articulate and intelligent (somewhat lacking in the current boot room). Lets look at the facts.....not a single clean sheet all season.....if Weir's experience and, more importantly, knowledge can help the young guys we are blooding at the back, would it be such a bad thing. I think some people need to see beyond the thought that he would be here as a first choice centre-half because he clearly wouldn't. Does not mean he doesn't have something to offer. That being said I am sure it is just another wild, groundless rumour.

Do me a favour!!!!!

He's a golden oldie and he should be put on the shelf and left there. :)

I don't get why people are still discussing this, a poster has already admitted to making this up. Close the thread mods?

Because people enjoy getting wound up. Or they need it, more like.

Eh?

If not for discussing transfer speculation, what is the point of ANY of the transfer threads?
