LeChuck Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Just play Vucekvic (sp) on the right. Forgot he existed to be honest. I think Formica and Rochina might be more of a goal threat still.

Andy Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Spot on. I've said it before but i'll say it again, we are destined to go down this year. By virtue of having a terrible manager and two-bob coaching & fitness team.
novella Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 As if dunn has got a coaching role in his new contract. Only thing he could coach is a ###### pie eating contestant. We are dominating but we cannot score. Toothless display as per usual. Now for keans infamous inspirational team talk. ###### sick.
Torgeir Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Forgot he existed to be honest. I think Formica and Rochina might be more of a goal threat still. Dunn will only last 60 mins anyway. Who would you sub though? Team has been playing well.
otto man Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 We are not level because we lack quality throughout the team. Eh??? 73% to 27% possesion. Newcastle saved by the woodwork, a missed penalty and a clearance off the line by simpson. We should be at least 3-1 up and you think "we lack quality"? Are we watching the same match? We've bossed the game for the whole of the first half, played "The Toon" off the pitch and gone in at half time with nohing to show for it and undeservedly so!

Exactly that's why we are 1-0 down - we lack quality.

Plenty of huff and puff but no quality.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 We need to bring on Formica or Rochina at half time. Newcastle looked like they were readying the bench in that first half, I imagine they'll bring off a striker for a midfielder. We should bring Petrovic off, push Gamst back into central midfield and put Formica or Rochina on the right. It would give us another player capable of scoring a goal...for all our good play, a defender from a set piece still looks most likely.l Pedersen off for Rochina. Exactly that's why we are 1-0 down - we lack quality. Indeed, quality finish by Newcastle for their goal......oh wait.
LeChuck Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Modeste is an improved version of Roberts in everything but finishing. That's three good chances he's had tonight, all poor efforts. Aside from that he's a real handful. Pedersen off for Rochina. Take off one of your best performers so far? He's worked hard, got in good positions and we've nearly scored from at least three of set pieces. Fed up of seeing Petrovic hit in the air, he needs to come off. Crowd getting on his back now too, he's having a nightmare.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Spot on. I've said it before but i'll say it again, we are destined to go down this year. If you put this team under Hughes and had them play the Hughes Rovers team (Bentley etc) this team would win. We don't lack quality, we lack organisation and tactical nous.
Gogger Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Modeste have to move out wide all the time just because Dunn is to lazy to do any runs at all.
Mike Graham Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I was out running in Blackburn between 7pm and 8pm tonight. The local traffic was very quiet for a night game, any idea what the gate is anyone please?
LeChuck Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 If you put this team under Hughes and had them play the Hughes Rovers team (Bentley etc) this team would win. Please tell me you're not serious. Friedel Emerton Samba Nelsen Warnock Bentley Savage Tugay Pedersen McCarthy Santa Cruz It's an infinitely better team than what we have now, down to a man.
Backroom Tom Posted February 1, 2012 Backroom Posted February 1, 2012 Modeste reminds me of diouf MK 2 good at a lot but lacking composure
Exiled_Rover Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I give in. (Please don't use that word again) off.
Backroom DE. Posted February 1, 2012 Backroom Posted February 1, 2012 Easy to see why Modeste was let go. A lot of effort but can't finish to save his life. Impossible to see why we signed Scott Dann.

Friedel Emerton Samba Nelsen Warnock Bentley Savage Tugay Pedersen McCarthy Santa Cruz It's an infinitely better team than what we have now, down to a man. That's a bang average team. Hughes would give his left arm to work with Rochina, Formica, Olsen and Hoilett.
LeChuck Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Had enough of this, turning it off. Newcastle are there for the taking but we haven't got the ability to put the ball in the net. I've never seen a centre half head the ball as pathetically as Dann did. Hoilett should have passed, but probably wasn't keen on giving it to Modeste in front of goal. Defensive mistakes and lack of finishing ability only means relegation. That's a bang average team. Hughes would give his left arm to work with Rochina, Formica, Olsen and Hoilett. I was beginning to fall for it! Not a good time to wind people up with a match like tonight's.
Torgeir Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 A no. 9 that can't finish and a no. 10 that doesn't start. No wonder we don't score goals.
Exiled_Rover Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Silly Dann, you know tackling is outlawed these days. And people wonder why the sport is dying.
Amo Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 That's a bang average team. Hughes would give his left arm to work with Rochina, Formica, Olsen and Hoilett.
