RibbleValleyRover Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I'd rather keep Salgado until the end of the season and have him as Lowe's backup. Or maybe give Ramm and Henley some game time.
Wiggy Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Just remind me again why we let Brett Emerton go? Wasn't he adequete cover at right back?
booth Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Lets give the guy a chance ffs I think people will give him a chance, but let's face it it's not the type of signing that's going to get people's blood pumping, along with the fact that our owners are still relatively new and should be investing in us.
SharrockDownSouth Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Just remind me again why we let Brett Emerton go? Wasn't he adequete cover at right back? Letting Bert go is the worst decision our owner/manager has made.
sharpysharps Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 QPR fan comment on sky sports website says Orr was the weak link in their Championship side and they ended up loaning Kyle Walker to replace him.
bubblerrovers Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Let's give him a chance????? Wake up!!!! Let give venky's a chance? Let's give kean a chance!! He's rubbish! We're planning for relegation it's a disgrace
A cup of beans Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Lets give the guy a chance ffs exactly. lets see how he does. people were prepared to give bruno ribeiro a chance.
dr_awol Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Yes lets give a player a chance, There are plenty of players that have just not fitted at a club and went on to be a big success when they move on. can just see it now players getting boos before they even kick a ball
Mattyblue Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Love to see how Keano bigs up this transfer window. 'we are pleased wi werselves, getting in 3 top class players who can hit the groond running' would be my guess.
Hughesy Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 He will probably refer to how we signed him for his 'experience' - poor signing

This "players not fitted" thing isn't a fair comparison to the types of player I'm guessing you have in mind. Bradley Orr is 29 years old and has started less Premier League games than 18 year old Adam Henley. He is not Premier League standard. This is a really poor signing.
Clitherover Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Relax guys. He'll be great in the Championship next season.
Bigdoggsteel Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Kean has been let down by venkys this window. A window where he needed to be backed. Look at QPR, look at West ham, even Southampton..investing now at this crucial time of the season with next season in mind. Pity Venkys aren't looking at it this way.
Mattyblue Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Of course he has, but it won't stop him coming out with his usual BS.

Bradley Orr is 29 years old and has started less Premier League games than 18 year old Adam Henley. He is not Premier League standard. This is a really poor signing. i think the only reason people are deciding he does not deserve a chance is because of who signed him. don't get me wrong he could turn out to be rubbish, 50% of signings generally turn out to be average or below. I will give him the same chance i give Ryan nelson.
Henrikv Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 At least he can play RB, and we can push Lowe to DM duty.., if he fails we can allways use Lowe as RB again. I think and hope he is an okai squad player, but not the steady player we need :/ But atleast we bringing players inn....

cn174 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I thought Myles Anderson was our star right back?!
LeChuck Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 This "players not fitted" thing isn't a fair comparison to the types of player I'm guessing you have in mind. I will give him the same chance i give Ryan nelson. See...totally unfair comparison. Where did you stand on Ribeiro? At least he can play RB, and we can push Lowe to DM duty Any team with Orr at right back and Lowe in midfield is heading for relegation. There are mid level Championship teams that can offer better.
dr_awol Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 How's that work? The bloke is a 29 year old lower league journeyman, not an unknown centre half from the MLS. would hardly call him a journeyman it depends what league you think has been stronger over the past 5 or so years MLS vrs championship ?
Mattyblue Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Ok a lower league plodder. It's not comparable, we didn't know a thing about Nelsen, whilst I've seen Bradley Orr on many occassions over the years- lower league plodder.
Lurid Coat Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Complete waste of cash, as Lowe is already a capable right back, and the very promising Henley can play there as well. Lowe hasn't impressed in midfield, however he has been solid for us at the back. Getting Orr in as starting RB and moving Lowe to the centre of the midfield will actually weaken our team. Horrible signing. Flogging/trying to flog Formica to fund the signing of Bradley Orr - effin hell.
arbitro Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Keith Andrews would be a better option at right back, a posistion he has filled before for us with some success. Kean has been making a big thing about playing young kids and then signs a 29 year old no mark. You couldn't make it up. Anyody know how much we have paid for him?
