Mercer
IMV, Orr is so poor it's untrue. Marcuss Olsson - when supporters talk about seeing a 'few nice touches', just means the player is sh1te. Didn't show one thing at City that you could hang any hope on. As for Modeste, like the comparison of a poor man's MBD. In reality, under Kean, the club, and I say that deliberately, has made one decent signing and that is Yak and, allegedly, that was down to Zhavi ! IMO, the rest range from utter dross (the majority) to distnctly average (such as Formica). We are in an awful mess and to be honest, as each day goes by and with increasing bullsh1t from Kean, I care less and less about Rovers in particular and football in general. roverandout
i would say a poor man's kaba diawara, anyone remember him? was so poor that after souness brought him on as a sub in a cup tie, he actually substituted him off after about 30 mins, needless to say i dont think he played for the club again. OJRovers
IF, that's a big IF we stay up, surely we'll need to buy another right back in summer. Orr cannot be anything other that short term. The signing epitomises everything wrong at the club.
Backroom DE. Posted February 27, 2012 Backroom Share Posted February 27, 2012 IF, that's a big IF we stay up, surely we'll need to buy another right back in summer. Orr cannot be anything other that short term. The signing epitomises everything wrong at the club. We'd probably buy somebody worse.
mjwood00
From what Joey Barton used to say on twitter Orr is a bit of a 'character' to use that horrid term and a good voice in the dressing room. He may not be the best right back but I'm happy to take a trier at this stage who puts effort in. The league this season won't be won and lost on quality alone, the standard is pretty poor. Just hope we don't end up booing him. Modeste I'm less concerned about as long as the Yak doesn't get injured.
MI ROVER
That's a good comparison. I never thought I'd say this, but I think Diouf was more composed in front of goal... Remember Kaba Diawara reminds me much of that joker ! Edit Sorry roverandout you have beat me to it should have read all thread
BRFC1995
we can field the following team, Orr.........dann...........hanley.......anderson dunn.......grella.......petrovic.........pedersen ...............modeste...rochina.............. looking at that makes me feel queezy to say the least, by the end of the season we may well look back on 22% posession as the good old days. f'ing criminal the quality bar the yak signed under venkys. Orr looks everybit a lower league journeyman, lacks everything and stood out like a sore thumb along with dann who is not brave/solid/ or special and the opposite of everything samba was who at times was a one man defence first to everything. Can anyone envisage singing the praises of orr and dann in the future.
rovermagic
He's worse than Mame Diouf. Mame Diouf had bags of pace. Modeste is not quick. Not strong. Looks a bit uncoordinated. Mame Diouf also more skillful than Modeste. Only thing in common is that neither can score. But the Lord's truth is we are a VERY low income team because of our gates. We only stayed afloat by flogging our best players to pay average prem wages on average Championship match income. We also ran up debt. What is our debt-turnover ratio? If it was pre-Samba 20/55m this might be ok. But when your income falls to £15m In the Championship, it's not acceptable to Barclays.
Uddersfelt Blue
Nice touch from Bradley Orr to stay on the pitch and applaud the fans after the game yesterday. Most of the players went straight off but Orr, Pedersen and Robbo stayed on.
hesfromburn
Thought Orr played really well yesterday, looked a better right back than chimbonda or jacobsen, I prefered Salgado given cover in an organised team. But with Keans lack of organisation I think he has done well and yesterday was his best performance so far, hopefully he can mantain that level. Hanks
general consensus from the people sat around me was that he was having a good game, and that was before he put in that cross. I gave a lift after the last home game to some QPR fans and they rated him but thought that injury problems were the reason for his departure. Looking at his stats though up until this season he has had seven seasons as a regular starter at his previous clubs.
AggyBlue
I thought he had a good game yesterday. He's getting better with each game. Good cross for the goal too.
arbitro
In his own words he has come to Blackburn for 'a fight'. And I understand that his contract is such that he will take a big reduction in his salary if the worst happens.

LeChuck
He was very good in the second half yesterday. He wasn't really tested at all, but he joined in well going forward and did well to assist the equaliser. I still think he'll be a problem when asked to defend a lot though. johnradfordsubbuteo
It's a strange phenomenon but when he runs he gives me Andrews flashbacks. Just observe the limb coordination closely. He also has a strange "tramline" pointing thing going on as well where he turns to look along the backline and stretches both arms out with pointing forefingers. Spine tingling.
