Jeru tha Damaja Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Fantastic news for all those concerned, but it also highlights the way some people overreact to setbacks.
jim mk2 Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 Sad recent news was the announcement of the closure of the BAE site at Chadderton, east Manchester, the former Avro manufacturing plant. "Avros" as it was known locally produced the legendary Lancaster bomber during the second world war and I believe the Vulcan jet bombers. The plant had become outdated apparently but it seems another part of our industrial heritage has died and makes me sad because I used to drive past it regularly and family members used to work there.
broadsword Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Why are we sending aid money to india if they have the money to buy warplanes? Sounds like we're trying to bribe them and have come a massive cropper. I suggest we turn off the aid tap and let them get on with it. A lot of their houses don't have toilets and they get dalits to pick up their ######. Sounds like warped priorities to me
