jones_rover Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 No Givet, possibly no Samba. Dann may as well not exist! At least we have Nelsen. Oh wait, no we don't...

bob fleming Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Those three things make for a deadly combination. I saw this result coming. Some time ago it would have enraged me. Now I barely has any impact on me. It's a sad sign of the times. I wonder what positives and positive statistics Kean takes from this embarrassment: "I know we lost 7-1, but I won't let the important statistics get in the way of the less important and irrelevant ones. We'll look on the bright side and see that we didn't concede 10. We had 42% of possession and 42 is a big number. We committed 14 fouls, to Arsenal's 9, so we beat them in that area which is a positive. We had 3 shots in the whole game and all 3 were on target. That's a 100% success rate, which is very impressive. We got 1 corner and 1 is more than 0 so I'm delighted with that. Arsenal got 11 corners and didn't score from one of them. So we are defensively sound from that point of view which is fantastic. I think that tells its own story about how the players are 100% behind me and realise what we are trying to do here. I know we had a man sent off, but when you think about it, if we had decided to play a bit of 5 aside the teams would have been even and no one would have had to sit out which pleases me. And anyway, I prefer even numbers, so playing with 10 is more balanced in my opinion. The only thing that I'm disappointed about is that we are in 19th and 19 is an odd number and I prefer even numbers as I said before, so maybe Wigan will do us a favour and win today, so that we can be in 20th and 20 is an even number. I wouldn't have wanted to be in 18th because half of 18 is 9 and that's an odd number. 20 is also a big number, which is something to be please about. So when I see the players giving me everything they've got on the training pitch and that there 24 water bottles lined up on the side of the pitch, I know we can be happy with werselves. Cheers." The owners in India hear this, smile and get back to living the high life. Quality Kean's interview is the definition of speaking a lot but saying nothing. What a loser. Does it every time. It's easy. "all you need to do Steve is go out there and talk for 30 seconds or so. Just comment on the good things in the match or make some up. Don't worry about the interviewer they don't ever ask any tough questions and no one gives damn about Blackburn anyway. Just front it out, the longer you do the more money we'll all make. And when they do get relegated and go into administration you can go back to your house in Surrey. Your hardly going to want to go out in Blackburn then are you "
vintageadidas Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 People picking on Orr already? Joke!!! He is a decent player considering we have £0 to spend. Loads of players step up from the lower leagues. Look at all the promoted clubs and even Anthony pilkington who stepped up a few leagues. Holt was playing non-league few years ago and so on. I am so fed up and angry with venkys and kean. I will not tarnish the Blackburn Rovers name as I am keeping the 3 factors completely separate. Dann needs to be dropped!!!!! How is he a premier league defender? No pace, cannot read the game, slow to interpret things, soft, leightweight and unlucky! Awful!!!!!
darwenfish Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Kean has actually said 'It is the first time we have actually been turned over this season. To come here and play on this big pitch with a man down was always going to be tough'. Does he not realise that being beaten at home by Everton, Wolves, Bolton, Newcastle ,Spurs, Stoke, City etc also may constitute being turned over in the eyes of some supporters ? We were 3-1 down when Givet was sent off! The comment about the big pitch just about sums this idiot up.
MarkBRFC71 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Still here? I'm amazed given the stuff that moderation deem offensive. However no one in moderation cares if I get insulted but now you have made fun of a catalogue of genetic traits. I think you'll be away for some time...... btw All that anger! Is it cos you is blik? If so you should be just fine. Actually, as a card carrying ginger myself I'm pretty much entitled to poke fun at another? Let's be honest here, it's a bit different than the blatant racism you've displayed in the past. And trying to goad the mods into banning me? You're coming across now like those card-waving foreign players you're so quick to criticise. Hypocrite, much? Anyway, this is all off topic, and frankly a waste of my time.
miqaayil Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 For me honestly ..... we were sent out to lose .... no effort ... no spirit .... utter disgrace ... blame is with kean and venkys .........
1864roverite Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 That has to be the most limp wristed performance EVER from a Rovers team. It mirrored the managers expertise in how to set up a team for such a game. We all knew Arsenal would play with width and we all knew that we would need a solid defensive unit to fend off the threat, in fact I am certain it should have been a man marking job on van Persie instead of giving him the freedom of the Emirates. Kean has not got a scooby when it comes to planning, tactics or how to set up a team. How can he defend that non performance after yet another home loss to a team we should have beaten out of sight? KEAN OUT

MarkBRFC71 Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Oh goody .... we're game of the day on Football First. Woop-di-do.
Stuart Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Oh goody .... we're game of the day on Football First. Woop-di-do. Of course we are. It's a red letter day for a "struggling" Landan club.
Amo Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Of course we are. It's a red letter day for a "struggling" Landan club. We had to let Henry bag one, too. Just for that fairytale ending.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 For me honestly ..... we were sent out to lose .... no effort ... no spirit .... utter disgrace ... blame is with kean and venkys ......... Did you say the same when we were thrashed by United under Sam - blame is with Sam and the Trust ? These results happen to clubs like ours - the difference in resources between the two clubs is absolutely huge. In reality we have been playing quite well recently - hopefully this is just a blip and we can turn over QPR for a rare home win (to be honest not holding my breath).

I agree I though orr looked good when he came on, did all he could do and got forward well. Ive been banging on about how bad dann is every time he has played.

No, the few games in which we 'played quite well' were a blip, that's why we are 19th.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 A variation of thus statement seems to be posted after each game. I.e. we are getting worse! Wow - desperately unlucky not to beat Newcastle and Everton was how I saw the previous two matches. Must admit I was devasted - considering the huge amounts of money we have spent on our squad, playing away against a team of free transfer players and loans, we should have obviously play them off the pitch.

Matter of fact ... yes i did ... sam had a very bad attitude of preparing to lose to big teams ... i hated that ... so i still stand by my observation A blip is when u lose rarely .... not when u win rarely ... i would rather call this "icing on the cake of defeats"
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 No, the few games in which we 'played quite well' were a blip, that's why we are 19th. That is the big concern - but I don't see getting beat (to put it politely) by a good Arsenal team as necessarily the end of the blip (if that is what it is).

You would have thought that game would be etched on his memory as it saw Ewood finally exploding in fury at him. It must not have been as traumatic an experience for him as his sympathisers have claimed !

Kelbo Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 When we defend, we had loads of players in the box on occassions today, but doing what? no one is with a man, have a look tonight on match of the day, five or six players there and the Arsenal players all on their own without a man looking after them!! What are we doing? same against Newcastle, we are chasing the game, Pardew puts on Oberton, he hugs the right touchline, thats their only option when they clear the ball, who was with him?
Kendalrover Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 When we played Sunderland on the 11th December they were in disarray, couldn't score goals and couldn't get any points. The fans had a minor revolt (booing Steve Bruce) and the owner had sacked him as a result. They were playing their first game under Martin O'Neil. Tonight Sunderland have 15 points more than Rovers and are 7 points from the 40 point safety total. Their squad is no better than ours. It just goes to show what a decent manager can do with a sub-standard squad in this poor Premier League.
bazza Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I'm just waiting for someone to blame Samba. I'm just waiting for someone to blame me for feeling sorry for Kean. Changed me mind.........................KEAN OUT!!
AllRoverAsia Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 That was the most pathetic performance I have ever seen from a Rovers team. They are supporting the Manager? I think not. It was a shambles. I didn't realise until today how crap Dann is. It was 6th Form against the Juniors. If Arsenal had bothered in the 2nd Half it would have been 10+ What do they do on the training ground? From the start we were 2 yards of the pace. This has to be deliberate - it was oragnised sh i t Words fail me - almost.
