[Archived] Edinburgh Rovers

One thing that I love about this messageboard is that it highlights the diversity of locations and backgrounds of supporters.

The idea of a car or minibus full of Rovers fans heading down from Scotland or up North from the southern reaches fills me with pride.

It also makes me even more annoyed at the direction the club is going in.

Well done to all of you! :tu:

I am planning on getting the 9.50 (ish) train on Saturday. If you go to Mill Hill straight after the game you can get a train back to Preston at 5.20 which gets you back to Edinburgh for 8.20 ish. Get a day return to Preston from Waverley, it's cheaper. There are a few of us up here and we usually watch the TV games in a pub, often the Murrayfield Bar. If you PM me your contact details I'll let you know where in future or if you want to meet up on Saturday let me know.

I used to run a bus down to 5 or 6 games a season, the record number was around 70 for a Manure game, we needed a double decker. You should have seen the looks in the Havelock when we all piled in at about 12.30. This was in the late 90s but would struggle to get a car load nowadays to be honest. There are still a few of us flying the flag though.

Maybe the North Eastern outpost could hook with you boys sometime? It's a illegitimate of a drive from up here so a train meet might be fun and more enjoyable from a libation point of view as I do not "do a Steve" and drive!
