If we could work out who is lying we might have a chance eh? I suspect they both are but can only speculate, same as everybody else on here really.

Well Coco will be lying if his lips are moving, he knows no other way. I'm prepared to give Samba the benefit of the doubt, unlike the management he doesn't have many, many previous examples of BS delivered to the fans.

This is the bit that I'm not sure about to be honest. Did Samba pull out of that Carlisle bounce game or was he not selected? We are basing our opinions on what we suspect, not what we know. That's what i mean about there being more than one bad guy in this. If Samba isn't injured and Kean is lying why isn't Samba coming out and telling the world this? Hell, he might have a window of opportunity to get his contract ripped up, especially if the 'texting in sick' story wasn't true either? The fact that no such litigation has been forthcoming by the very rich footballer would suggest that, for once, there is some substance to what the club said.

CIRCUS EWOOD

Well, if it was as simple as Samba refusing to play, the Club would simply remove him from senior training as fine him two weeks wages. Does the three strikes rule apply here? If he comes back after two weeks and refuses to play again, the Club would fine him two more weeks wages. If he then refused a third time, the Club could terminate his employment rue to breach ofcontract, correct? Would they still own his player registration and be able to command a fee for it?

Anyway the point is, is that it is clearly not a simple case of refusal to play on Samba's part, and Samba is being very cateful about what he is saying as well. I would venture that Venkys could match Samba for legal counsel. Due to proven lies in the past about just these kinds of injuries, I definitelt give Samba the benifit of the doubt here.

Indeed, Circus Ewood...

aye its the mirror talking ######...

Steve Kean expects Blackburn captain Chris Samba to play again

is far more believable.

Also Kean is quoted as saying "We have not spoken about anything to do with him giving his word or making any public statements". I'm not sure what that means.

Samba is not saying anything !

We only hear Kean's version of events and, as he lies habitually, it is difficult to work out just what is happening.

well if that article is true in the sun then the get out clause should be set at 12M minimum also Dan just to make you aware Samba has done this trick before of asking for a transfer when the window has opened I don't for one minute believe he has injury it now seems such a convenient excuse to sulk and isn't it strange he texts in sick before the carlisle game and states he has back and hamstring problems & has to stay home thus ensuring the medical staff at the club can't judge whether he is injured or not?.

Samba you mercenary bar steward. This is the fourth transfer window in a row that you have played the same game. Thrice previously you have been handsomely rewarded with an improved contract but this time you have not got your own way and have spit your dummy out of the pram!

None of us connected with the club are happy with the current situation but few are fortunate enough to be able to sit on the scales of remuneration that you benefit from but for the sake of the Club and it's heritage, we soldier on. Where's your loyalty or do you need that defining for you.

Have some dignity, humility, heart and balls and help pull us out of this mess. If not, may you rot in hell, as you would deserve.

Ok, I stand corrected on Samba's behavior - I've gone amd researched ot a bit now...but this is the first time he has ever spoken out against the Club unless I am missing that? Agree that if he is the one lying about being injured he should be castrated.

@roverandout - why hasn't that been reported anywhere if he has been? It would put the Club in a much stronger position to make that publicly known, would it not?

I still maintain that there is something else going on here. As I said before, I don't think a player cam just call or text in sick or injured. Players are the major assets to clubs and they have to take care of them to maintain their fitness and value. If he said he was injured, they would immediately bring him in for assessment and treatment to ensure he was fit again as soon as possible. Same goes for sickness. You see the difference in Club behacior when reporting on Lowe's ankle injury, for example, being constantly monitored and being touch and go for Saturday - then you have Samba's case where they state an injury and that he is out for Saturday, no elaboration, and no timeframe for recovery. Totally different stance and attitude. Plus the weird legal comment made by Kean. Nothing adds up here, and I can't bring myself to condemn Samba at this point.

A source said: “Some of the players, including one or two senior ones, are unhappy with the way Samba, who’s supposed to be the captain, has been carrying on.

Which senior players are these then, Mr Source? We've got rid of or completely alienated them all!

P.S. Being "sent to Coventry" is an old school adage which means being ignored.

Todays LT states that Samba is ready to play for the reserves on Monday. Now correct me if I'm wrong here, it's hard to keep up when the Kean Bullshitometer is off the scale but I thought Samba had done his hamstring? That must be the quickest recovery known to man!

Press - "Will Chris Samba play at the weekend Steve?"

Kean - "er no unfortunately we just feel that it's a little early for Chris after his head fell off"

Press - "OK, thanks Steve. Steve, what about these letters of support, are you still receiving 500 a day?"

Kean - "No not at all, in fact in the last week I'd say that number is nearer to 1500 a day. That's mainly from managers from around the world. I've had to buy a new phone, an iPhone 7i, in order to be able to take all the calls of support from other managers. Well, when I say 'buy' i mean i was given the prototype by Apple, they're big fans and can see what I'm trying to do here. Anyway, 'Arry has been great and apologised that his trial got in the way a bit. Arsene has also been great, he had such a laugh with me over a bottle of wine after last weeks game. Now if you'll excuse me gentlemen, Junior Hoillett is waiting in my office to sign his new contract and I've got Angelina Jollie calling in, on the quiet, to see me at two thirty, then I've a conference call with Barack Obama at 4.00. before a giant flying chicken / pig is collecting me at 5.00 and flying me back to my imaginary village".

Press - "OK, thanks Steve"

While I have sympathy with Samba because promise made to him have been broken I can't help but feel his behaviour is childish in the extreme and completely unprofessional. He exemplifies all that is wrong with the modern game:

1. Players are paid such ridicous sums that no club disciplinary action will influence their actions

2. In every situation the power is with the players and the clubs have effectively lost control of their employees.

3. Players are generally self-centred and have no real affinity with the club or fans they play for, despite the nonsense they all like to spout for the media

If I have a grievance with my employer I talk to my directors while getting on with my job. Sulking achieves nothing. Samba should get out on the pitch and do the job he is paid to do.

Bang on Paul, if he wasn't being paid I'd perhaps support him. But him earning thousands of OUR hard earned spent cash is like sticking a knife in our backs. He should be on OUR side. Emotionally we feel it 10x more..

I believe the players who were unhappy were;

Roberts, Nelson, Andrews, Salgado

Oh....

And probably Dunn :-/

Just keep repeating after me, all ######, all ######....
