Amo
I'd say it's criminal what's been allowed to happen there. I've little love for Pompey, even if I am a native, but they took their medicine for what happened. It's the league that's allowed them since then to be passed from pillar to post. Sadly, it's the fans and the local businesses who will suffer the most out of all this.
Burrells Boy
So sorry for the supporters and local business men will no doubt lose out again.
patrickvalery
I must admit, i felt very little sorrow for Portsmouth when the financial problems reared there head. I was always of the opinion that the club had too many days in the sun thanks to a false economy and promises which had no intention of being kept. To a degree i still feel the same way. I feel for the fans but the club knowingly put their valued support at risk in the hunt for glory. But my sympathy for the fans has grown due to our current plight. I guess that makes me very shallow. But it has taken our own problems to appreciate what a helpless sensation being a fan of a club run by utter shysters feels like. Good luck Pompey fans. Perhaps you might be good enough to offer some words of advise if Rovers follow your clubs example.

purplegrover
Scary stuff, and a taste of what might be just around the corner. Interested to hear from financial types who know about these things, hopefully on the Podcast, if the crew can get some on as guests.

Captain Dunsel
Pompey had a Cup win. We got Steve Forfeit Kean. OMG I almost forgot Steve Kean is our manager. Thanks for reminding me. Here I was reading a thread about Portsmouth entering administration and I never thought to consider that Steve Kean is our manager.
SAS
Nome of the fans questioned the success and money...... What I will say is, despite venkys ambitious claims, they have never been welcomed fully. (I remember venkys out chants in December 10 from the darwen end..) Mattyblue
They were welcomed with caution in November time, but once Allardyce went, rumours about JW started, plus the Beckham/Ronnie nonsense, yeah, it turned fairly quickly.
