Andy
I hoped it would be the case, he's far better than all other no 2 alternatives to Hart.
thenodrog
The only time Robinson should play for England would be for penalty kicks after extra time..... and then only for taking one! This thread reminds me of John Lennon's famous comment when someone asked him if Ringo Starr was the best drummer in the world and Lennon replied 'he isn't even the best drummer in the Beatles'. I'm not 100% certain Robbo is the best keeper at BRFC.

Mr. E
Yeah, how about we keep a clean sheet sometime in the coming year, let's start with that first.
hesfromburn
Not Good enough. Ive heard some people on here saying he is of "Legendary status" But it was big sam's set up that allowed him to do what he does best reflex saves. We all knew his weaknesses and kean has put them on show for everybody. Its absolutly bonkers teams must come agaist us knowing its going to be a good day for goals just watch out for Blackburns knock downs from set pieces. thenodrog
Robbo's not the worst keeper by a long straw but it's still galling to see undeniably the best one performing so well for Spurs. Many on here thought it was a good swap way back when Ince disposed of him. Let them hang their heads in shame. One can never say these things for certain (and I do respect Mark Bunns magnificent contributions v Lpool and Man Utd) but I am convinced that we would have more than 21 points by now if Brad had still been between the sticks. He's an above-average shot-stopper and gives a good punt, but the rest of his game is pretty mediocre, particularly saving from range.
Ricky
Concedes way too many from outside the area, seems to get caught a little flat footed and doesn't have a great spring in his step.
rover_groo
I think Robbo will be able to give a good account of himself for England if and when he is called up. He would not only be an 'understudy', to Joe Hart, but he would indeed challenge him. Hart is certainly a quality keeper and is prone to enough mistakes himself and is very suspect in the air. DeadlyDirk
I'd actually still pick him in the squad behind Hart, not because I think he's a world beater but the rest are shocking, Ruddy to me has looked to be about the next best.
Gally
Robbo isn't Brad, or Hart for that matter, but he's still miles better than Green, and unless his form has improved drastically, Carson. He's been playing infront of a woefully leaky side this year, still a top keeper for me.

FourLaneBlue
My fault for posting that! To be fair, you did deserve it. Posting regarding some saves in one game, when he has failed to keep one clean sheet all season, really does not suggest a view taking into account the wider picture. We would do better with Bunn in the side. Robinson can't even catch the ball anymore. How often a game does he flap at crosses? Can't seem to catch a ball at all anymore. He's a shot stopper these days, but we need more than that in the Premiership. He also needs to be able to command his box, come out for crosses/corners now and then to relieve the pressure and to be able to marshall his defence. Stuart
cant see any other team covering his wages. We'll probably end up paying half of them just to lower our costs. With our (lack of) defence/midfield, he's got a ready made excuse anyway. He will be fine. Rovers on the other hand...
