I still cant get my head around why he needs a bodyguard.I hand on heart think after the venkys legal threats and police knocking on doors ,want to know is there ANY proof whatsover and how can he get away with blackening rovers fans names?

There isn't any proof, Abbey. If anything had necessitated Kean hiring a bodyguard, don't you think we'd have heard him playing his violin? It's all part of the PR machine that's deflecting attention away from the true issues at the club.

I presume it's because you can't slander a group of unidentified people. I'd take advice but presumable you can only be slandered if you are personally identified (and I'd have thought suffer as a result of said slander)?

So someone saying Rovers fans are bad people (if it has ever made a direct statement rather than insinuating) I expect is acceptable (legally).

It'd be a nice legal challenge though. Our good name as a Rovers fan is being dragged through the mud.

The bodyguard nonsense is exactlty that,cold and calculated,designed to hit back at the Rovers faithfull for their justified critcism of him,makes us potentially all look like thugs in the eyes of others.

He knows how hated he is, we've all seen people online saying what theyd do to him etc but he also probably knows he wont get as good a job as this one if he leaves and seems incredibly hard faced about it all.

If he is worried about his safety then he should walk away, he won't do that though.

In all of this the bodyguard bit is the least annoying part for me. The fact that it comes out in the papers is annoying though and damaging to the fans

Kean's inadequacies mean he needs a personal taxi driver, body guard, bum cleaner, snot wiper, broad chatter upper, drinks tester, and arse licker.

Oh and he's completely stuffed now he hasn't got Chris Samba to give the inspirational half time team talk.

By keeping in charge he allows Venky's to keep selling our most valuable assets, and bringing in poor quality replacements.

Who else benefits from this? Well...who benefited to the tune of over a million on the Rochina, who cost only 400k? Anyone would be forgiven that they cooked up sharing the spoils before they even bought the club.

This came out in the aftermath of selling our prize asset to a Russian club. Outside of the transfer window, so...no chance of a replacement.

As much as it gals me to say it, the guy has played an absolute blinder with the press. He releases statements just at the right time, to deflect people's attention away from the real issues at the club and instead focus their criticism on the Rovers fans as if we are the real problem with what is going on with the club. Didn't it come out a few months ago that the pillick had a minder? So releasing the same story again, with a bit more detail and bringing the family into it is just another ploy of gaining some cheap sympathy and keeping the heat off himself. Sickening as it is, it's worked a treat.
