Ste B Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Cheers. 100% behind how you're handling it so far. I've spoken to the other fella and he's not bothered about it. I wholeheartedly agree. However threats to each other should be a definite no-go even without the media watching. I should have said especially with the media watching..

roverandout Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 i will be attending tommorow, i wont let some of you small-minded, petty ingnoramouses try and put me off, (im not saying anyone in particular, just the ones who think we are morons and not fit to walk the streets with)
Ste B Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Pm'd u bud Again. Glad to see the brag committee taking this seriously. Thanks.

Pedro Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Blackburn protest 'biggest yet' www.bbc.co.uk A section of Blackburn Rovers fans plans their biggest protest yet ahead of Saturday's Premier League game with Aston Villa. My fear is - the TV media don't want to put a positive spin on the protests and this could all end in tears. Fair play for standing up for what you believe in but I don't get the feeling that the weather and more importantly the high projected numbers will actually be favourable today. ...now if we lose, that might be another story altogether.
ABBEY Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 How many losses will it take now for people to make a stand. ? Why only protest if we lose ?
Pedro Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 How many losses will it take now for people to make a stand. ? Why only protest if we lose ? Because a massive percentage of people simply don't want to be associated with the organised protests/protestors for many different reasons. They just won't be won over and don't like being told what to do, wear, say and have their varied opinions funnelled into one or two mouth pieces. It is harsh, but true whether or not the majority on here choose to agree. If Rovers are losing or are beaten, they are much more likely to make their stand - and this will be (in my opinion) the only time that the masses with voice anti-Kean or Venky opinions.
ABBEY Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Where has anyone been told what to wear ? We are deep in the mire and there's too much can't be arsed fans ( not having a go at you pesto, just an overall view) .... By the time the rest stand up it will be to late.
Mattyblue Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 We all need to realise that the majority of fans will NEVER get involved in an organised protest. A larger section will however, do one of two things- Chant and boo loudly on the ground when losing or Stop going all together. It's that simple.
Stuart Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Quite, Matty. It's because nobody wants to be 3 or 4 nil down and are right angry. Trouble is, because we keep picking up the odd result we are looked upon as fickle. Yet if we chant when we are winning we are deluded. Catch-22. Re the march, I note also that it's forecast heavy rain between 12pm and 3pm today. That will almost certainly affect numbers. Maybe it's a sign...

Just a slight alteration to the post, its not all who need to realise, its BRAG that need to realise it.
Stuart Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Rain? Gives the darwen end lads a chance for a wash. I was going to say they should bring their toothbrushes but then again...

And still the butchiness continues... Time for everyone to bang their heads together and man up and fight the venkyscum together
Pedro Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Where has anyone been told what to wear ? We are deep in the mire and there's too much can't be arsed fans ( not having a go at you pesto, just an overall view) .... By the time the rest stand up it will be to late. Seriously?? I don't think it is a case of people not being arsed, I think that there are many, many reasons which range from the bad timing of the first protest (pre Arsenal) and the understanding that no matter how much people ###### and moan, it has proved to be either totally fruitless or at best the fans have received a few false promises. The majority of people hate what has become of our club but they understand that the rich people hold all of the cards, are shacked up thousands of miles away and they will only sell when it is best for them. I'm all for people making a stand and appreciate that it would drive them totally insane to do absolutely nothing - but I personally see it (in this situation) as pointless walking around, chanting or holding up a banner and exchanging conspiracy theories. In our minds we absolutely sold the club to the wrong people(because we wanted a sugar daddy, and we remember what it was like when owned by one), but the only people interested this time were either criminals, dreamers or pure business men. I now simply hope to God the Venkys are currently just trying to turn a business/club that was making a £20m loss into one that is financially viable and sustainable, and although that lacks ambition from a fans perspective that is the lesser of two evils knowing who else wanted to buy us as well and what would have become of us already.
arbitro Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Many fans will be almost unwittingly marching as three seperate marches come from three of the four directions to Ewood. The timing (leaving each venue at 14.10) will mean that there are a significant number of fans who wouldn't normally protest walking to the ground at the same time. This, I believe will artificially swell the numbers and give the impression that there are really more protesting than there actually are.

There's an anti-march march planned for the fourth direction. Depends of the timing though, arbitro, as I did think the same. They might gain additional walkers but not that many "accidental protesters".
Majiball Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I've a better idea for the next protest. Find out where Keano lives. Then morning of the next home game all the protesters should arrive nice and early surround his house and sit down. nothing more than preventing him from driving out. Our odds of winning will go through the roof should Keano be prevented from taking the touchline.

Have you seen that scene in Kill Bill where Uma Thurman takes on the Crazy 88 and manages to beat them all with her ninja skills? That's what Kean's Bodyguard/Driver would do to everyone! I do know where he lives though...

Just a slight alteration to the post, its not all who need to realise, its BRAG that need to realise it. We realise that marching isn't for everyone nor will it ever be. However I am disappointed that you find it necessary to have a a dig at us yet again. Would it not better for you just not comment on threads were it will tempt you try and stick the knife in. And the end of the day we will do what we feel is right and at the same time respect your right to do as you see fit. But we will always be open, honest and transparent.
