Look, we all realise that

  • Venky's are out of their depth
They thought Premiership teams didn't get relegated
They've got rid of anyone that mattered
Decent players leaving with poor replacements
    Appointed a coach who hasn't a clue
Made a stable, well run, family club a laughing stock (has Ronaldhino arrived yet ?)
Prospects that grim they can't even get a shirt sponsor

AND YET I think these protests make us look a bit silly. Sorry I know it's a sensitive subject and nobody hates the mess we're in more than I, but seeing reports on North West tonight make me cringe a bit

We realise that marching isn't for everyone nor will it ever be. However I am disappointed that you find it necessary to have a a dig at us yet again.

Would it not better for you just not comment on threads were it will tempt you try and stick the knife in.

And the end of the day we will do what we feel is right and at the same time respect your right to do as you see fit.

But we will always be open, honest and transparent.

Even though you know nothing will change until the end of the season. Therefore.this march cannot achieve anything. So why do it.

Certainly nothing will change 200 miles away on the south coast on match days.

You know what makes me cringe?

Its owners that at best don't have a clue what they're doing and at worst are systematically raping the club and selling the foundations in front of our eyes!

Its a manager that is totally complicit in this destruction, feathering his own nest whilst smearing thousands of fans.

Its otherwise honourable supporters who cringe at other honourable supporters trying their damned best to stop this destruction. It might not be more than 5% effective but they are not just sat on their arse griping.

Its a bloody sad day when grown men are embarassed by the well intentioned actions of other people..

Don't be so soft.

YAWN. Is this the best you can do to defend a pointless march, that will not change a thing until the end of the season. If you are on it, I suggest you take a map. As you obviously do not know where the south coast is.

Why not just give it a rest mate, a pointless march I think not.. How about we all just get behind our team and show the owners how much we care!!

COYB!!

Hoisted by your own petard. Under these circumstances do you really think that Billy Breathalyser and the Indian chuckie brothers will look at the demo and rethink their plans ?

Err, no.

I admire the effort and the dedication just find it all a bit pointless in real terms.

We're all behind the team Brad but it won't change anything will it ? :glare:

YAWN YAWN YAWN you play the same record every post.

Whether a protest changes anything is not the point - people have a right to protest if they feel aggrieved and who out there is not peeved by the Venky's and their puppet?

To those who feel embaressed by the protest I just can't fathom that - I was embaressed by the crap I saw v Man C!

Err, no.

A shakespearian strawman! Very good.

But you know that I wasn't commenting on the effectiveness of the protests rather your own embarassment at their airing on NWTV news. Surely your man-enough not to get all embarassed by the forlorn antics of fellow fans? Its emotions like that that have allowed this situation to develop so quickly.

I don't participate in the marches, nor do I think they will achieve anything. However, if it makes those who do participate feel like they are doing something positive then I have no problem with that. I chose not to march but that doesn't mean I have the right to criticise those who want to participate. I really don't see your problem with this Parfell, particularly as you're not even at the ground to witness it! At the end of the day each to their own.

Simon it wasn't a dig, I was simply pointing out that when Mattyblue stated "We all need to realise that the majority of fans will NEVER get involved in an organised protest" that MOST fans already realise this, however it seems the time has come for BRAG to realise this.

Some of the BRAG committe have put a lot of work in this week for today, handing out over 10,000 I heard, also tv and radio interviews along with getting the story into plenty of print media - so hats off to them for the shift they have put in.

Abs, genuine question mate.

Apart from making Rovers fans feel better having vented their spleen, and shown they are still here and still angry, what do you think the protests (at this stage) will achieve?

Many fans will be almost unwittingly marching as three seperate marches come from three of the four directions to Ewood. The timing (leaving each venue at 14.10) will mean that there are a significant number of fans who wouldn't normally protest walking to the ground at the same time. This, I believe will artificially swell the numbers and give the impression that there are really more protesting than there actually are.

Oh dear!

Ah right thanks for that, a new one on me. Didn't attend any of the protests however was talking to somebody outside the entrance to blues as the protesters were in front of the Jalk Walker statue - 500 maybe, no more than that IMO.

So that must be only 500 fans left that actually care about he club then. Let apathy rule, let Kean and the Venkys destroy the club and lets not do anything ever. Lets just sit down supping Bovril scoffing at those trying to save the club.

Yup, you keep telling yourself that if it somehow makes you fell better...

It must be an unwillingness to look facts in the face. It seems we have been going round in circles for months. Can’t abuse poor old stevie kean because its unkind, can’t abuse the venkys because they are not here and don’t care, can’t march because it achieves nothing, can‘t abuse the apathetic fans even though the club would be better without them. SO WHAT THE clumsy, hit shift + 8 again!! DO WE DO.

Out of interest is do you

-think kean should be the manager?

-want venkys to be the owners?

No, thought not. So how do we get rid. The “fans” who advocate this support your team no matter what mentality don’t actually vocally support the team instead just sit there quietly hoping others will support their team for them. The only vocal support we get is from fans who want kean/venkys out. Not many pro kean chants or banners.
