The FA, PL and FL have together met the end Feb deadline to submit their proposals on Football Regulation. The headline grabber will be a new ill-defined independent body which can investigate complaints about owners.

Judging by Graham Jones' comments in Podcast 26, my guess is this will not be enough to satisfy Government and MPs but that the FA will have to bring in these changes quickly anyway.

So Loons in Pune should not be able to hide much longer.

Damian Collins winds up the pressure on footbll with a Bill to debated in Parliament next month.

It would end football preference for creditors and force disclosure of beneficial ownership of clubs.

The latter might be of significance for Rovers if it is indeed true that the Premier League only holds Mrs Desai's name as the registered ultimate owner of Rovers and thereby brings the two brothers and Mr Desai into the scope of a much tougher licensing scheme.

Unfortunately history will see us as a football club equivalent of Johnny Bosman. Our situation could lead to massive changes with long term consequences but we won't be around to benefit.
