Gav
Paul Simon on Sky Arts right now, his 2012 appearance at Hyde Park, superb stuff. Absolute genius, imagine writing Bridge over troubled waters? Edited December 15, 2023 by Gav

It’s actually 180, with the last one being PW himself. One for diehard fans only I would suggest.

He genuinely is the real deal. Someone that every artist should look at as the benchmark.

That is the ‘real’ Paul Weller and in almost 50 years it’s the first time I’ve ever heard him be quite so relaxed being interviewed. For someone with his talent and back catalogue he is a surprisingly humble bloke. He actually reminds me of a certain Kenny Dalglish in that respect. The rest of the podcast interviews are what I meant as being suitable only for the diehards by the way. I’m not sure there would be great interest in the bloke that played bass on the third Style Council single for example. The Weller finale is exceptional. Yeah some of the other ones are a bit too anorak for me but the interview with Weller himself is absolutely essential listening for anyone I'd say. Not many artists get to his stage in life with their integrity intact. As I said before, he's the real deal.
