Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 24, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted April 24, 2015 Decided to give Courteeners a miss at Heaton Park. Great gig last time out at King George's, but I'm not convinced they'll be able to carry if off at Heaton Park and it'll be full of 14-24yr olds thinking they can take on the world. KGH was full of them as well, with their pyrotechnics!! It is what it is, a good day out, quite a few beers and good company! Quote

donnermeat Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 (edited) I fancy parklife also with Wu Tang, as well as Nas doing Illmatic. Edited April 24, 2015 by donnermeat Quote
Gav Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 getting too old Gav? What for? KGH was full of them as well, with their pyrotechnics!! It is what it is, a good day out, quite a few beers and good company! That added to the atmosphere for me, but Heaton Park will be a different prospect, badly dressed spotting nosed ketamine fueled kids, no thanks. But I agree it'll probably be a good do if you avoid the above. Quote

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 24, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted April 24, 2015 I fancy parklife also with Wu Tang, as well as Nas doing Illmatic. On different days unfortunately, Wu Tang Saturday, Nas Sunday, Sunday tickets almost sold out, Saturday and weekend tickets sold out already I believe.... Quote
donnermeat Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I'd probably prefer Sunday tbf as Wu are more likely to be in Manchester again at some point and you don't really know which ones will actually be bothered to show! Not that I'll be going anyway, the missus wouldn't look upon it favourably. Quote

Audax Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 (edited) Big Rockabilly Festival, 4 days in Attignat, France.... this weekend. http://www.bluemonday01.com/eng-grt13-index.html It's amazing how so many are into the whole "Rockabilly" scene, nostalgia, vintage rock and roll and so on, a lifestyle to some. Some of my favourite music too, we're talking Elvis era here. Like the Firebirds who will be there. The dancing, clothes, everything. Edited April 25, 2015 by Audax Quote
