Highlights on sky sports now

Fantastic three points credit all round today Orr on the wing turned out to be a master stoke, sensational ball in again by him.

-We had a period of sitting off a bit but rode it out

-The Olsson twins link up well but Marcus could do with working on his crossing

-that mignolet save off Formica was ridiculous

A point at Bolton now would be a great result

Wins over Wenger, Ferguson and now O'Neil. Has anyone else managed that?

Manchester City: lost the Community Shield, knocked out of both cups, knocked out of both European competions, and now 4 points back of United.

I think it's time we asked the question. If Mancini gets sacked, are we going to be able to hold on to Kean?

great win couple more and we are there n'zonzi was class tonight watched it with supporters of other teams and despite the commentator blasting him throughout they commented on how good he was. At last starting to look like a team.

Was it orr or lowe who fed the yak?

Very pleased. Back-to-back wins and cleansheets for the first time ever, since Kean assumed the post.

Personally I would have given Hanley man-of-the-match - he made two crucial tackles and was completely solid, at the back.

Kudos also to the referee, who for once seemed to get everything right and booked very few players in a gritty game

Orr with a delightful, inch-perfect cross.

The game also had one of the misses of the season from the Korean, 2 yards out, unmarked and he blasts it over the bar.

Commentators were annoying - "Blackburn could well be hanging about the Premier League for another season" - said with more than an air of displeasure after the first goal.

Just got in from the game, definately the best feeling i've had all season coming away from a home match. The team played well throughout, got a bit lucky with that sitter that the Korean fella missed but I honestly think it would've been harsh on Rovers not to have won the game. Justice was done IMO and Yak got a deserved goal. Great cross from Orr as well after good work from Nzonzi in the build up.

Hoilett coming good towards the end of the season, will be missed when he's gone but i will appreciate any good stuff he does between now and the end of the season. He is playing with the right attitude at the moment despite the contract stuff off the pitch.

The olsson twins are looking a real threat on the left, Marcus just needs to learn when to cross, but hopefully it will come. That pace down the left is really scary for the oppositions defence.

Can't really fault any of the players tonight, and I can't fault the manager either. Credit where its due and Kean got it right for the 2nd game running. Not said that ever before but he just needs to stick with this side barring any injuries and suspensions.

So could Martin tbf, crossing is not exactly one of his strengths either

I've got to say, i think the Olsson twins combo looks a masterstroke. They are no wolrld beaters by any means. But there is an understanding there from the get go and it works. They pressed really well against a poor right side at Wolves and did the same tonight. What they'll be like up against a good attacking side, God only knows. But so far so good.

It seems to be working. They've both got something very valuable in pace - if both are able to improve their crossing it'll give us an extremely dangerous left hand side. We will be relying on it next season with Junior gone.

And another point, how many wanted Givet back in for Hanley at Wolves. The manager stuck with the young lad and it has paid off with back to back clean sheets.

As I read it, most wanted Givet in for Dann?

I don't blame Hoilett for not signing a new contract earlier this season, we look nailed on for relegation, but if we continue this form to the end of the season, it might not be beyond the realm of possibility that he'd stay, he's still very young, if he continues to progress he, being the focal point of the team, he'd be in a much better position to do well at a big team when he reaches his peak.

To have simultaneously cleared out the dead wood, trimmed the wage bill, reduced the average age of the squad, and most importantly have us accumulating vital points...I am willing to give Coco a second chance...

Like Jones,Samba,Nelsen you mean? With Hoilett and N'Zonzi to come! Givet? Robinson?

Good report, as ever, by Henry Winter in the Torygraph. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/sunderland/9146554/Blackburn-Rovers-2-Sunderland-0-match-report.html?

Sunderland were very, very poor giving the ball away regularly and carrying little threat up front. Great team spirit will carry us over the finishing line. Just.

Dave just apologized To Steve Kean on Talksport. At the game and said we have played great.

How long are you over for Doddsey? I'd be jealous but I've basketball to be concerned with at the moment. Well done tonight lads; 2 good goals & almost a great opener from Gato. The 'Cats rarely looked in it. Beat Bolton and we're almost home.

What a relief. Another win and another clean sheet. :rover:

And even better, 6 points clear the relegation zone and 5 points clear Bolton. This weekend I'll be cheering on Aston Villa and Liverpool. :tu:

Keep this up and I'll start to believe we'll rack up wins against Bolton, WBA, Swansea, Norwich and Wigan. Add the odd point against the others, even accounting for a fumble or two, we could pass the 40 point mark.

In fairness, I have to give some credit to Kean, if only because he's the manager.

That said, he's still scum and I want him out.

Great result, decent performance and three good points. The 6 point gap is something we need to keep.

Looking forward to game at Breezeblock now, pressure far more on them than us. A point would be a good result 3 points and we're not far from being safe.

That said poor performance from Sunderland as O'Neill said, get the impression a few didn't have their minds on game tonight, but you can only beat the 11 in front of you.

I dont think it was just Olsson twins lack of crossing but Phil Bardsley did well to get tackles in and defend the both of them, without him I think many of the attacks coming down the left side could have resulted in goals and chances. Thats why I thought maybe morving hoilett to the right may have been an idea wayne Bridge got a far to easy ride.

Finally, finally after two very, very, long thirds into the season complaining, moaning, theres something positive to cheer about regarding Rovers.

Second clean sheet in two games with the back four playing really well, especially Dann and Hanley. Pedersen for me looked the fittest i've seen him and complemented the ever improving big French lad in the middle.

Credit where credit is due, well done to Kean for swapping Formica for Bradley Orr who provided his second assist in two home games and provided more cover for young Jason Lowe.

We looked a team tonight now bring on the youth team.

Aret et labore .....come on make some noise :brfc:

Sitting down the road from you mate. Listening to Talksport on my iPhone. just back from New York. 70 degrees, crystal clear sky, stunning Manhattan view out of the tunnel, oh and three priceless points to top off a great day. And talking of daylight, 6 points looks suspiciously like daylight between us and Bolton.

Hope we don't play Bolton at the weekend. Could be a strange atmosphere.
