From BBC Sport -

"Blackburn boss Steve Kean has a virtually fully fit squad to choose from against Sunderland. Vince Grella is the only absentee as he continues to struggle with a calf problem, but Bradley Orr returns to the squad."

Remember him?

I don't know how Grella can look at himself every morning.

He should have had the dignity to walk away or retire completely if he is not capable of contributing anything. If I'd been offered millions by a company to do a job and it turned out I couldn't do it, there is no way my conscience would allow me to keep taking that money year after year.

It's not about being fair, Givets twice the player of Dann and has more than shown it this year. If fit he should play ala Robbo and Bunn since sunderland are hardly in the same place as Wolves at present.

Don't agree with this at all. We played well against Wolves, Dann had a good game, leave the defence be. We need a settled team. Also Hoilett should continue to partner Yak. They are a good pairing who complement each other.

Coco and Grella have quite a lot in common, neither can do the job they are paid for,and both let the money come rolling in.

Low life scumbags both of them.

Whilst managing to stay up would be a great achievement, especially with a manager that’s clueless and championship standard players, it only prolongs the inevitable for me, if its not this season it will certainly be next.....

If Venkys don't improve the club over the summer, we;ll go down next even if we survive this season.

Do you really think Sam won't smash Kean?

And the other promotion candidates won't be pushovers.

Here's a game plan for club improvement: 1) Fire Kean . . .

To business people like Venky's that is very good. If we stay up, premier league income with lower outgoings. Perfect business for them.

To football people, lower expenditure = lower quality squad = eventual relegation.

Both sound, logical positions. Venkys being business people they've focused on the first. Unless they become football people rather quickly, the realities of the second will catch up with them, regardless of how good they are in business.

It's not on TV but Sky Sports 1 will show the game in a 1 hour repeat show tonight at 10:15, I suppose that's useless if you want to watch the game live, but, if we win it's always good to watch it back -_-

Have a really, really bad feeling about this match. I expect us to do what we usually do after unexpectedly winning an away fixture, which is losing the next home match convincingly.

I'd hate having to go into the Bolton match (who we made look like Brazil just before Christmas at Ewood) in desperate need of three points. A win against Sunderland means that we can be satisfied with a draw v Bolton. Lose against Sunderland, and I foresee a nervous breakdown on my part just before the Bolton match.

Not sure what you mean, I agree we'll go down next season if not this

But on Allardyce, all’s not well at Upton Park, the natives are revolting, so they may not be in the premiership next season the way they're going.

Drving into work with Talkshyte on this morning, they reckoned a win tonight and we'll stay up.

Wolved doomed, Wigan doomed and the run for QPR has them facing the top 6 ??

I agree , but winning the game is another thing altogether..2 wins back to back has not happenend for a long time , Sunderland difficult team to play a good manager and fired up players will be against us tonight...

Think a point is the best we can hope for ...But I was wrong for the Wolves game and rarely win the fixed odds coupon !!

Bit harsh that GAV, I've been to Upton Park a few times over the years and one or two of them are OK.

Big game tonight could be a massive win - a step closer to safety and a possible Knighthood for Keano.

The majority of the population at Upton Park are numpties. In their flawed football opinions, WHU should be a top 6 side because they used to play nice football when Trevor Brooking was younger than I am!

Surely you have now learned the importance of an experienced, knowledgeable, competent manager like Big Sam haven't you? Or are you still prepared to tell me about the physiotherapy costs for your overworked neck, and the away days that have since improved so vastly ;)
