MarkBRFC71 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Bit disappointed that the side is unchanged. Orr at RB with Lowe in midfield (two players in their natural positions) looks heaps better than Lowe at RB and Pedersen in midfield. Would also have brought Givet back for Dann - he's just better. With that side it's a draw at best for me.
Backroom Tom Posted March 20, 2012 Backroom Posted March 20, 2012 A win Seems too good to be true but you never know
rovers1993 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Blackburn Rovers: Robbo, Lowe, Hanley, Dann, Martin Olsson, Formica, Pedersen, Nzonzi, Marcus Olsson, Hoilett, Yak SUBS: Bunn, Orr, Givet, Petrovic, Dunn, Modeste, Goodwillie SUNDERLAND: Mignolet, Bardsley, Bridge, Turner, Larsson, Gardner, Campbell, Vaughan, McClean, Kyrgiakos, Bendtner SUNDERLAND SUBS: Gordon, Wickham, Kilgallon, Colback, Meyler, Elmohamady Must say that our starting 11 tonight is stronger than Sunderland, we are playing at home.... win? no. We have have a slight advantage on the pitch but they have a far superior manager and that will tell in this game. heart says 2-1 blackburn, brain says 1-2 for Sunderland. anyways... COYB!!!!
hesfromburn Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 The yak against krygiakos - yes please! The Yak against anyone!! Its the rest of the squad thats the worry, Im dissapointed not to have orr at right back and lowe in midfield. I know you could say after last weeks lean sheet and all that but Sunderland with O'neil are a different beast to Wolves. But either way COYB!!! I expect at least a draw tonight anything less just will not do.
jimw1988 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Always have a chance when Kyrgiakos is on the opposition team sheet!
jim mk2 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Good decision by the manager to keep the same team that achieved the club's first clean sheet in more than 12 months in the previous match. Cannot remember the last time we beat a Martin O'Neill side so will be happy with a point. Winning two in a row is the stuff of dreams but with MGP in the side there is always hope.
Backroom Tom Posted March 20, 2012 Backroom Posted March 20, 2012 Heartened by the Greek playing, it was an onslaught last time hoilett and olsson faced him
broadsword Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Sheesh, ignorance reigns: https://twitter.com/#!/jonathan_wcm/status/182192906906513409
Majiball Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 ROFLMAO, the second it started my comentator says 'well haven't rovers got a young team out. You have to say Kean's done a wonderful job with them and he'll be doing well to keep Rovers up' Jesus.
Amo Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 ROFLMAO, the second it started my comentator says 'well haven't rovers got a young team out. You have to say Kean's done a wonderful job with them and he'll be doing well to keep Rovers up' Jesus. Ah, the wonders of foreign streams. I can just pretend they're all insulting Kean's wife.
Ricky Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Feels worryingly like the Newcastle game at the moment. Doing very well but haven't got the goal to show for it.
jimw1988 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Non event so far. 3 points are there for the taking for either team. Hopefully the boys can give the crowd something to shout about. Very quiet inside Ewood!
Devon Rover Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 This match is a great opportunity to break the 2 wins in a row curse. Do we have enough about us to make sufficient chances to do it, though?
joey_big_nose Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Totally dominated the first half hour possession and territory. No goals to show. Sunderland coming back into it now. A bit worried about the second half. Dunn might be a shrewd sub?
Rover Down Under Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Quite a good half, in patches. Tellingly, neither keeper has had a save to make. Looking a bit suspect down the left as Formica is not tracking back. Crowd has gone quiet.
martypellowe Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Promising first half but struggling to make any impact in the final third. Marcus Olsson really can't cross can he!?
BuckyRover Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Two clean sheets in a row? Admittedly not as good as consecutive wins but will still be good for confidence
