Anybody like to throw Villa into the mix? They've got Bolton, Sunderland, Tottenham and Stoke at home and WBA, Liverpool, Man Utd and Norwich away. Their game in hand is home to Bolton, they've a team full of young uns and Mcleish is an expert in snatching relegation from the jaws of safety. I don't think WesT Brom are safe either!! They've 3 of the bottom 5 to play and are in a bad run of form. If we win there they'll start to feel the pressure, esp if other teams keep winning below them.

I'm now off to find some more straws to clutch...

I think Villa are right in it. They have a manager who specialises in getting Brummie teams relegated, are obviously out of form, look low in confidence and have a hard run in. It'll probably be about 36 points to stay up so unless they win a game soon Villa are in it. If we discount Wolves it's probablly 2 from 5 now if you include Villa. Big worry for us is that if we don't pick up points over the next 3 games we will be under massive pressure against the likes of Swansea and Norwich after that. 3 wins needed.

They'll be fine. Only need one more win. Next season is going to be very tough for them. Can see Bent leaving in the summer.

Terrible weekend for Rovers. Wolves are doomed but Wigan and QPR are staging decent recoveries while Bolton are winning the games that matter and have a game in hand v Villa, who while they are in poor form, surely only need 4-5 points as they are already 5 points from the drop.

All of Rovers, Wigan, QPR and Bolton are unpredictable and capable of springing surprises so not sure who will survive. Wigan and Bolton are the most battle hardened relegation battlers but we and QPR are showing some fighting spirit. Assuming no points against United tonight we need 4 from WBA and Liverpool, both teams are in a dip of form so we could get 6.

I honestly think that Villa are going to get dragged into this scrap

I'm not so sure. However, looking at the table last season, with five games to go Birmingham were 5 clear of the relegation zone with a game in hand. How on earth they went down from that position is beyond me. Maybe Villa will surprise me this year and go down despite looking safe.

Ive done the predictor a few times over the past few weeks and every time I get Villa being dragged into it. I can honestly see Bolton beating them with their game in hand and that will put bolton within touching distance of them

Villa have got Stoke at home to play. Win that and they are out of it. Lose and they are right in it. They do have a similar feel to Birmingham last year though. I remember thinking Birmingham had Fulham to play at home which I expected them to win and would have taken them out of the running. Instead, they lost and the rest is history.

Wigan always seem to unearth a player who does nothing until feb and then single handedly keeps them up. Moses this year, n'zogbia last year...

I said at the time that we should have gone for Moses. From memory he cost less than Formica. We couldn't get our money back for Formica in January, in fatc nobody seemed to be interested. Meanwhile Moses' value soars.

Getting them young and turning them into top players is the way to go but you have to get the right ones. Poor advice again I suppose?

You said nothing less than -1. -10 is indeed less than -1.

Ha!

Braddock's doing her nails tonite.

Funny that, I was always taught that 10 was a bigger value than 1, no matter which direction it was taking either side of the decimal point!

ie having a -10 million deficit is bigger than having a -1 million deficit

;)

Trust me, minus ten is less than minus one. And a minus ten million deficit is a surplus. :)

glad your not my accountant, you seem to be allowing zero to cloud your judgement

:D

HELP- I want to go the Liverpool game next week (first game at Ewood) when would the tickets be available to purchase for non season ticket holders? Can you purchase online or is it through the Ewood ticket office? Thanks in advance.
