JAL Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 There's a reason he's in the job. He doesnt say NO to his employers and he takes the bullets for them and accepts working in any circumstance. I'll go for, his partners, and co-conspirators, rather than his employers.

Mattyblue Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Oi media, that sounds more like 'dignity' to me: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17704699
Stuart Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Seem to remember Kean saying similar when he first 'took over' as caretaker. I actually feel really sorry for Connor. He's so far out of his depth and doesn't have Kean's 'stage presence' in front of the cameras. We are both going down with inept managers but I would swap Kean for Connor every day of the week.

I wound not, he is worse than Kean and thats saying something.
Stuart Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I wound not, he is worse than Kean and thats saying something. I just want rid of Kean. We can worry about replacing Connor once the curse is broken...
Pitty Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 I just want rid of Kean. We can worry about replacing Connor once the curse is broken... Yeah I could live with that to.
Audax Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 I saw Lawro predicted Rovers to stay up and a 1-1 draw vs. Swansea. That draw would be desperately needed.
Miker Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Bolton have a very easy run. I fancy QPR and Wigan to win at least 2 games, so we are going to have to get 3 wins in the last 5. I see us going down on goal difference though...
BRFC1995 Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Wish I could muster optimism. I'm 100% sure we will be all but mathematically down next Saturday considering spuds and chelsea still need to be played and have something to play for. Swansea will beat us by clear goals today I really don't see where the general concencus of a draw has come from they'll have 80% posession and let our defence gift them plenty of oppurtunities.
Stuart Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Just reading a relegation candidate feature in the LT with journos from each of the bottom 5 clubs local papers. Between them they've decided only Wolves are going down - that's a relief then!
Mattyblue Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Soccer Saturday is not good for my blood pressure. 'Terry Connor is just a coach, not a manager'. 'Steve Kean has done so well to give them a chance to survive.' 'Wolves fans might boo but they are good fans, at least they'll turn up next seaosn, not like Blackburn'.
Backroom DE. Posted April 14, 2012 Backroom Posted April 14, 2012 Soccer Saturday is not good for my blood pressure. 'Terry Connor is just a coach, not a manager'. 'Steve Kean has done so well to give them a chance to survive.' 'Wolves fans might boo but they are good fans, at least they'll turn up next seaosn, not like Blackburn'. Their hypocrisy is laughable. At one point they were saying Connor needed to go because the fans were on his back and thus he was "labelled". What about our Keano, then? Why is it they have a totally different opinion about his situation?
FourLaneBlue Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Unless it was a deliberate get-rich-quick scheme. Since they have been here it has been a succession of 'take' and no 'give'. Despite it being Kean's favourite phrase, I can't think of one positive thing they have done during their whole sorry regime. Even cheap season tickets is beginning to feel fraudulent. They may be the cheapest around but we aren't getting ANYTHING back for our money. Unfortunately, your version makes a lot more sense than that of parsonblue's. This is not just rank incompetence. Kean receiving the new, improved contract says it all about whether or not there is something more sinister going on.

Yep, whilst literally every other area of the club has undergone horrific cost cutting measures... Steve Kean gets a brand new contract with a pay rise despite doing quite literally nothing in a footballing sense to earn it. Ask yourself why that would be and there are very, very few options that don't involve a level of corruption.

Josh Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 QPR to smash Swansea by 3 or 4 tonight and then Swansea to do the same to us on the weekend? sounds likely. It wouldn't suprise me if Wigan picked up a point tonight either I wish I had been wrong... might watch The Football League Show tonight in preparation for staying up to watch it next year
Mercer Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 After the season we have had and 5 losses on the bounce, it's unbelievable that we are still in the mix. Logic suggests we have no chance, especially with Kean as manager. Who knows - feels like heart ruling head again.
Backroom Tom Posted April 14, 2012 Backroom Posted April 14, 2012 I wish I had been wrong... might watch The Football League Show tonight in preparation for staying up to watch it next year To make matters worse hadn't the Football league show been cancelled next season?
Mattyblue Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 To make matters worse hadn't the Football league show been cancelled next season? Err 'Goals Express' on Sky sports News, get ready for our 5 seconds of fame at 7.23pm on a Saturday night.

I stopped watching soccer saturday long ago, Matty. who said what ?
adopted scouser Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Just spoke to my mate who's a Burnley fan. He was at the turd today, and as news of the goals filtered through they started chanting about playing the b****rds next season. I know we're all cheesed off after the way the club has been dragged down, but the thought of the east lancs derby and the Indians selling up etc who knows ? Look at Newcastle ?!
Mattyblue Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 I stopped watching soccer saturday long ago, Matty. who said what ? Merson about Connor and rovers fans. Big Nose about Kean.
John Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Hanley prob out of the season, Givet to return maybe - Kean said we need 2 wins and a draw.....
